So I wanted to edit my listing and I couldn't because of this:

WTF!!!! So some guy from France can just say "Le I didn't get whatta I ordered!" And it automatically collects it from my credit card...how thoughtful of them!!! /sarcasm Are they high?

They some how made it worse than it already is....

Yup, That's how the French do it.

Bid 1,000,000.00 for a game and then claim they never got it.

Call eBay customer service and tell them that you have the tracking number for the item, you just for got to put it in. Then you sould be able to Pass Go. ;)

eBay is horrible.

I was late shipping 4 DVD's one week. total bullshit Pieces for like $3.50 and I shipped them 2 days late. eBay AUTOMATICALLY via the tracking #'s (The buyers didnt even complain) decided I am a slow shipper (because of 4 DVD's) which arrived about 2 days late and LOCKED my account to a $500 monthly limit, and mandatory holds on my funds until the buyer receives the item. Making eBay pretty much worthless to me.

The fact that I had been a member for 10 years and have 99.5% positive feedback meant nothing to them.

I called them, and they proceded to berate me, YOU NEED TO SHIP faster, blah blah blah, as if I WORKED FOR THEM, like an Employee.

Fuck eBay. Fuck eBay hard. And Paypal their scond arm is just as bad, Nearly all the money goes to feees and it's just worthless to me (as a seller)

Soooo, I shouldn't start selling shit on eBay then, right? I've been fucked just by the last 4 purchases I've done there, I don't think I'm gonna go there anymore...unless it's a BIN and they're "reputable".

All the problems I have ever encountered selling on eBay came from Spain, Italy & France.

Coincidentally, these are the same countries where disc-only copies of Tomb Raider for PAL PS1's is considered "rarissimo" and priced up 'accordingly' - usually in an excessive amount of Euro. Lest we forget that photo?: At an artistic angle complete with that BIG white piece of paper with 'SuperCheapBargainGames4U' written across it, in big, black bold lettering.

Incidentally, all their stock is games they either paid next to nothing for or was [never?!] received as 'lost in transit'.

Not that I've ever had experiences looking and only looking to buy from or selling and wishing I hadn't sold to these territories...

The unfortunate reality is that anytime a buyer decides they'd rather have your item for free, all they have to do is say they didn't receive it.

eBay and Paypal will instantly believe them with no proof.

You think your puny tracking number will help you? No. Paypal will ask you for a signature verifying that the buyer received it. Unless you specifically chose "Signature Confirmation" when you sent it from the post office, you're outta luck. The "buyer" (thief) gets refunded their money and keeps your item.

eBay also prevents sellers from leaving bad feedback for buyers like that. Though I suppose there's nothing stopping you from leaving positive feedback with a negative comment.

Anything over $250 requires signature confirmation with paypal, anything under requires a tracking number. Most times, if you use paypal shipping then they don't really dispute it.

Royal Mail (here in the UK) created their very own grey area for this in their own shipping system:

Royal Mail Signed For: NOT tracked to it's destination but requires a signature
Royal Mail Tracked: DOES NOT require a signature but is tracked to it's destination

The very definition of commitmentphobe :lolz:

Don't "sell" anything on eBay you can't afford to lose/give away.

Having a credit card on file has been a requirement for about half a dozen years now.

I stopped selling on eBay because of all the hoops you have to jump through. Every year it just becomes more and more difficult unless you're a store that can afford to write off losses. Amazon and the forums are much easier to cast off movies/games from your library.

It's still a good resource for finding classic gaming and little trinkets as long as they're on auction and not absurdly overpriced by stores.

Yep, stopped selling on ebay years ago as seller protection began to slowly be eroded.

I bought a bunch of military surplus stuff lately at good prices on ebay. Shipping on some of the items is slow as hell though.

So I'm not a big time ebay seller, but having been there over 8 years with 78 100% positive ratings isn't apparently good enough for them to release my money to me before 21 days/seller receives the merchandise (and then 3 days after that at the earliest) since I haven't had enough activity in the last 12 months. This is some bullshit.

I'm planning on selling two used Samsung Galaxy-S (i500) phones on Ebay as soon as I get my new upgrade. Normally I don't like to use them, but its hard to connect with someone looking for a item (like a smart phone) locally when your ready to sell it now.
