After putting 1000+ hours on the DS platform, i finally moved onto the darkside.

I picked up a Limited Edition Star Ocean PSP bundle. It's a thing of beauty.
The screen is Ginormaous compared to the DS.

M33 3.9

Outrun is pretty much all I am playing at the moment.

edit: I know this topic is extremely unoriginal and lazy

I too graduated from DS > PSP.

Love the PSP. Use it pretty much every day. Just about to order a new 16GB memory stick for my PSP3000 that I'll get on Wednesday :-)

Anyway, what genres do you like other than RPGs?

Jeanne D'Arc is an excellent SRPG, and so is the Final Fantasy Tactics port.

just picked J'Arc from my little brother.

I went through FFT back in the day. dunno if i want to spend the hours to redo it. I hear the port is worth every minute of it tho.

Crisis Core is supposed to be very good.

Play Jeanne when your brother is done. Very good game.

A surprisingly solid title is R-Type Command. If you enjoy games like Advance Wars, or strategy games in general, it's very fun with a competent battle system. I'm only a few hours in and I like all the options made available to me. That and it's plain badass that I can control all these R-Type ships into combat.

Plus it dropped to a paltry $20 new (or used for even cheaper).

Silent Hill Origins, if you haven't played it. Gurumin is fun... God of War: Chains of Olympus... Mega Man Powered Up... Crisis Core is just "okay." There's more luck than skill to the combat. MGS: Portable Ops is fun, though the limitations of the control scheme can be a little frustrating. The Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles are a worthy buy, too.

I picked up a PSP this last summer and it is currently seeing alot more play time then my DS. So far, the only games I have are both of the Capcom collections(Reloaded > Remixed), Megaman Powered Up, Metal Slug Anthology, and Dracula X Chronicles. I just got Megaman today and so far, I really like it. What are some of the worthwhile imports ? I saw someone mention the pc engine: soldier collection.... Any other recommendations ?

Don't know what genre of games you like but here are some of my favorites:

Yggdra Union (also out for GBA)

Riviera: The Promised Land (also out for GBA)

R-Type Command

Generation of Chaos

Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos

Spectral Souls: Resurrection of the Ethereal Empires

Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness (new mode/storyline)

Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles

Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of WarLords

My picks:

Daxter

Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters (skip Secret Agent Clank)

Pinball Hall of Fame (both of them)

Jumping Flash (PSOne conversion from PSP store)

Lumines II

Valkyrie Profile

Patapon

Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles

God of War

Brave Story

If you like old school stuff, the SNK Neo Geo Collection, both Capcom collections (skip the Puzzle World), Metal Slug Anthology, and the Orochi Collection are all good. The Power Stone collection is fun, but limited, and you've already got OutRun.

A few others:

Final Fantasy: Crisis Core

Puzzle Quest (I never thought Bejeweled could be so awesome.)

GTA, if you're into those games.

Twisted Metal

Wipeout Pulse
God of War: COO
Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles
Ultimate Ghosts & Goblins

Also a handful of import compilations.

Basically my picks as well to include:
Mega Man Maverick Hunter X (Mega Man X graphics upgrade and cutscenes)
Metal Slug Anthology
SFA3: Max (or use CPSII Emu)
KoF Collection: The Orochi Saga (or use MVS Emu)
Crisis Core: FFVII (a great game for any FF fan)

My favorties are

GTA Vice City Stories

Mega Man Maverick X

Field Commander- (Basically an almost dead-on knock off of Advance Wars with more detailed futuristic weapons, and seems to play a little slower as well)

Street Fighter Alpha 3- Puts the much praised GBA version to shame. Actually plays like it should

Capcom Classics Collection 1- I find myself playing it, even though Hyper Fighting doesn't run smoothly at all, especially compared to Alpha 3.

Densha De Go (Import)- Badass to have Densha De Go on the go. If you really wanted to blow your own mind, you could play it while your riding on a real train.

Guilty Gear XX Reload- Has a beatem up version of Guilty Gear as well as a fully functional version of XX reload if Guilty Gear is your thing.

Space Invaders Extreme- Doesn't have the extensive online components that the DS does, but it looks, and sounds ten times better on PSP.

And if you miss your old Dreamcast collection they have a Crazy Taxi, and Power Stone collection.

I'm not really up on the imports much though. I haven't kept track of them.

Basically it's great for arcade style games.

MLB '08. Road To The Show mode is ridiculously engaging.

Patapon... very original and catchy gameplay.

PQ - Practical Quotient

Fight Night Round 3 wasn't bad at all

Many others that don't come to mind right now. MLB 08 has its hooks in me pretty bad, even though the season's already over.
