Just wondering... I keep a low balance just in case I see something I want to get.

I saw a PayPal screenshot of some dude who had like $60k in his, in different currencies.

So, what's in your account?

most i ever held was like $2500 from selling a mixer internationally. it was there for like a week (including the 3 days it takes to deposit into my bank once i choose to do so). There is usually anywhere from $0-$1 i keep in there, because fuck ebay- my bank pays interest and doesnt charge me to keep money.

I never, ever, ever try to have a high number because Pay Pal is known to freeze accounts for retarded reasons (like having a high balance).

Used to keep some in my account in the good old days when you got interest for having money in it but these days...nada. If it's a big purchase, I use my PayPal Smart Connect option and pay it off at the end of the billing period.

I've had somewhere around $2,500 from selling things. I always empty it into my bank account though ASAP, because I don't trust paypal.

$76. My account was credited after a refund. I like to keep my balance at $0.

this. im a fairly active seller on ebay and will quickly transfer funds to my bank account anytime the balance exceeds about $100 or so.

At present, what, $120 USD?

Some cunt decided to put a claim in against me in a fickle attempt to get his deposit back after the item which he could only obtain via the aid of someone else arrived damaged. Thankfully, Paypal didn't give him his money back. I'm keeping funds as far away from PayPal as possible.

"Low balance" sounds pretty vague...
I'll share though. My max was the kingly sum of $450 after selling a pre-amplifier years ago. :)
These days I never let anything above $50 sit in Paypal (same reason as Soilwork).

Maybe $1,000

I don't trust paypal and have actually stopped using the service. The reason I have stopped using paypal is largely due to the fact that I rarely use eBay. When I do use eBay, I'm looking for things that are somewhat local to the Atlanta area.

Most of my online buying/selling is limited to Audiogon.

Maybe around $5,000? Just be aware that if you have $20,000 in total payments received during a year, paypal will send the gov't a w-2 form with your total earnings, take heed.

Probably around 500-700 for selling some firearm stuff. Moved it to my bank account at the first possible instant.

Couple hundred bucks. Nothing stays in there very long, since it either gets transferred to my bank ASAP or gets spent.

$85 from a refund a couple years ago. I didn't give them consent for that Electronic Delivery Act or whatever so the account is frozen since the start of February, no idea how much is in the balance now. XD
