Which is after Capcom definitively said something different (in spite of what Ono now says in the interview), MULTIPLE TIMES over the course of decades. Did Ono create Poison? No. So...

And gee, CAPCOM is working "very closely" with GLAAD in the construction of the character. Yeah, that's not suggestive at all.

What it suggests to me is that this new Ono answer has been specifically crafted for the American audience, so that they don't lose the sales of the Fearful Homophobe crowd that makes up such a large portion of our citizenship. They have one answer for Japan and a different answer for America, which clearly they deem to be a bunch of backwards hillbillies.
