Does it have free play? Does it have a volume adjust on the PCB? I really want one of these, and would like to hear from someone that has this. Thanks.

yes and yes, and you switch between charater select screen or 4player chute start mechanic via soft-dips (which basically means you can play as any character on any cab using any player), great game :)

Are you sure it does freeplay? I have a Simpsons PCB and I could have sworn it didn't. I could be wrong though. Maybe I'm confusing that with something else it won't do.

This isn't really related to your question, but I just wanted to say the Simpsons arcade game kicks ass. That is all. :D

So freeplay? Yes or no?
The Simpsons does not have a setting for freeplay unfortunately. Still a fun game though and I wouldn't mind getting a dedicated cabinet to put my PCB in someday!

No biggie. I will just keep a ton of quarters handy (sure, I could do it with my finger, but it's funner to pop in quarters when I need them... lol).

As long as it has a volume switch, then I guess I'm happy enough.

Well, got the game today. And, no freeplay... which sort of sucks. Oh well, I'll just do it the old fashion way and put quarters in it. Makes it sort of fun that way.

And volume switches for both right AND left. So, it's all good.

Do what now? I could just make a button and press it every time I wanted a credit, too.

Yes, you could incorporate a switch for continual coin up (like freeplay) or coin to credit. Use a NE555 to pulse the coin up, similar to the autofire circuit.

Thanks John Smith

Problem with that is, in this game, when you keep adding coins, you keep adding lives to your character. I would hate to keep hearing "dun dun dun da dun" everytime the button was triggered. Furthermore, what if I want to use Bart after Homer dies? You can't with this method, because it just keeps adding lives to Homer. A good idea, but I'd rather just use quarters or push a button myself. Thank you, however!
