Or you can get a Qanba q1 for check and a six or 4 button panel for that.

Cool, thanks, it's not so much the 8 buttons on the HORI, just the size of it. I wouldn't mind using Sanwa plugs on the extra 2 buttons. I was just hoping there is a more compact 6 button readily available. I've got a Neo Geo Hori Fighting Stick II for a 4 button setup and I'm modding a NGX controller w/Sanwa buttons and new microswitches so I think I should be set on 4 button sticks.

Yeah, that's a good size. Until I started looking around I had no idea how big the market was for fight sticks on modern consoles. Maybe I'll just stick w/this HORI thing, at least it's already populated with Sanwa buttons.

Bigger is better, won't shift around the surface it's on while you flail around trying to do super combos and 1CC shmups. I guess if you just want a little stick to put on your lap a Qanba or pre-HRAP hori would work fine.

I have two of the smaller size sticks I made and one hori hrap I converted. All are good choices, but the nice thing about the hori is how stable it is just as chempop suggested when doing combos and such. And as far as the extra buttons, tek innovations is good as has already been suggested for the plexi. I actually used bondo to fill in the holes on mine and it worked nicely. Plus the db15 connector fits nicely in he compartment where the usb cable storage is.

Here are my wireless Supergun sticks. Inverse blue/yellow colors made of acrylic. Phreakmods-JLFLINK on the sticks for easy storage/transport. The sides are weighted with lead buckshot to give the sticks some heft; they weigh about 10lbs each so they're definitely not flailing around when you play. I was a little worried that acrylic wouldn't stand up to abuse like wood or metal but after having them awhile I can definitely say they can take a beating no problem and feel really solid.

I have a Mad Catz TE2 USIV for XBox360. I use the undead adapter to play it on my supergun.
That works very well.

I have bought the Dual Strike to mod it for PS3, but the tutorial looks to complkcated to me.

I want to buy black side panels as the red ones dont touch me.
Unluckily the 360 Version of the stick is not compatible with the led option.

At this point, I wouldn't bother with complicated dual 360/PS3 dual mods, I'd just buy a PS360 or the upcoming Brook universal board (360/Xbone/PS4/PS4 compatibility) and call it a day. The boards are expensive but the labor savings are worth it. Or you could just buy a Brook 360 to PS3 converter.

I dug my old Tekken Hybrid TE stick (which had a cthulhu and imp in it, never finished) and gutted the thing. I ordered a Brook PS3/4 PCB to go in it so I can use it as a SF5 stick. If anyone is wanting to buy any fightstick parts in preparation for SF5 I'd recommend putting your orders in now, Focus Attack is running out of some stuff. Also Madcatz is out of black bezels.

I bought it from a friend of Beharius but it was beaten hard in the post! Anyway I am waiting for a Top cover replacement asap but until then, this is my only Neo stick

Yup, they have Morpheus boards in them from Jasen'sCustoms. Works really well.

Nope, gotta do it the hard way. "Hard" isn't that difficult though, you'd just need to snip the cables and strip the ends off, I think the 4 in 1 uses screw terminals. The PS3/4 one I got has solder pads.

I want some of those boards for a project I've been working on, the more systems the better, but yeah for now the Brook seems like the way to go.

I have a few sticks for the previous gen

2x T6 wireless modded all Sanwa 360
2x MC SFIV TE sticks 360
2x T5 PS2 modded with Six Axis Adaptors and all Sanwa (Backwards compatible, first party and bluetooth) PS3
and now I just ordered
2x Kai HRAP PS4/PS3 with touch pads, gonna replace it all Sanwa

I stopped making custom sticks, it's been years but I wouldn't mind using some of this multi-platform tech I've seen out there, pretty awesome!

Yeah, I mostly stopped buying sticks, and instead just swap the electronics now for whatever I'm doing at the time. I've got 2 SE and 1 TE stick. Also have a HRAP EX-SE, but haven't had the desire to do any modifications to it.

yeah, that's what I'm thinking too... I'll just go "modular" from now on - build a nice stick with the right parts/layout and have all the electronics (PS360+, cthulhu, padhacks, ...) in project boxes. Plus gut the sticks I already have and want to keep and unify the plugs/outputs. I'll need less sticks (hoping to end up with just two... one with 6 and one with 4 buttons), all working through the project boxes with all of my consoles/PCBs.

That's a great way to do it. I have a few project boxes and converters around that I built just for that. I've got a spare Cthulhu MC board now, I'm thinking about project boxing it, but I can't decide if I want to go DB15 for a 6 button layout to make it compatible with my other stuff or go ahead and do DB25 so I can use an 8 button stick with all the goodies on it.

I think people really overestimate how hard it is to drop the new multiconsole PCBs into a stick now. Fucking everything has screw terminals now. Not a blob of solder required. No 'adapter' required. Just try it out and have some fun with a project.

I got the $40 Hori PS3/PS4 mini stick, its small though I think its too small personally. I hope they come out with something in between. (Like the Horii sticks they made for the Wii).

If youre talking about the mc cthulhu, you still need to solder the rj45. I'm not sure about any other mc pcbs.

The PS360 is stupid easy. You just connect all the inputs to the screw terminals, and it has RJ45 and USB jacks already on the board. If you aren't a bad enough dude to install panel mount USB and/or RJ45 jacks you could just plug them into the PCB and have them run outside of the case. I did my first stick like that.
