After NY taxes it's about 10-11 judging on my Netfix on my charge card bill. I'm just going to stick with my Netflix, WWE Network and watch the stuff off Hulu off my computer for free.

Just finished DBZ Kai, don't remember if they covered this in an earlier dub/manga but I was bothered by this inconsistency

Spoiler:
After Cell is defeated, they wish everyone he killed back to life with the Dragon Balls. But there are two things they don't address here:
1. What about Android 16? Why wasn't he revived?
2. What about all the people Android 19 and Android 20 murdered? They killed pretty much everybody on that island they appeared on and they were never wished back. Seems like they could have just made the Cell wish more inclusive, reviving everyone killed by Gero's androids, no?

They usually tie everything of this nature up in a neat package at the end of a saga. Piccolo's victims were wished back inclusively, then the Saiyans', then Frieza's, and later Majin Buu's. But they just forgot about the people killed at the beginning of the saga.

Also, why the fuck doesn't baby Trunks have a tail? Gohan did.

And what the fuck happened to Launch? She was basically Goku's primary maternal influence (along with Bulma) but she barely makes any appearances in Z/GT.

RABBLERABBLERABBLE

Now I'm getting the itch to watch the Japanese dub of the whole franchise. I've seen the Funi dub, the Ocean dub, and now Kai but I don't know if I've ever seen the Japanese version all the way through.

Sidonia was a huge surprise last season, really great show that is getting a much deserved second season in the future. Has anyone checked out Nobunaga Concerto? The art is a bit funky but the show seems like it will be good. This is coming from someone who enjoyed oda nobuna no yabou though, so grain of salt.

I was really hoping that rail wars would be like library wars, but it really is just train porn.

JJBA Stardust Crusaders
Tokyo Ghoul
Space Dandy S2
Mushishi S2

Space Dandy is just too fucking good. The animation, the use of colors, the quality of voicework on both dubs, the music, the humor, the retro aesthetics, the space bounty hunting. It's like Flash Gordon, Bebop, Outlaw Star, and Yellow Submarine had a baby.

So much like in the USA, shows that are titled "_____________ Wars" are complete shit.

I'm really tired of those typical animu cliche characters.
Hard-ass superior officer/teacher - check
Ditzy big-titted gurl - check
Super serious mary sue character - check
Boring protag obvious to everything - check
Super brobuddy dude - check

After KLK the second show I drop after one episode. If it was more like GuP with trains it could've been actually worth watching.

Just started into Stardust after finishing the first two series. There were some crazy plot holes but all in all, I've been enjoying the anime thus far.

Jojo has no plot holes, everything works as intended.
Also say goodbye to the ripple as you will only see it twice in part 3.

This stuff sells to adolescents and lonely grown up otakus with arrested development and confidence issues for obvious reasons, so the continued production of this stuff is going to continue.

I still pine for the days, which will never return, when every anime felt like a 'can't miss'. They are gone, Johnny. They are gone.

I think its time to watch turn-a, batmang85. Is anyone else ready for the original mobile suit gundam remake? The same crew that did the battleship yamato reboot is doing it, at least thats what I heard.

Are you talking about the Mobile Suit GUndam: The Origin anime?

From what I understand, it's going to be a four part movie series or OAV series with the first part focusing on Char's childhood at Side 3 before Degin Zabi usurped his father's rule. This isn't really a 'remake' as it's a story that has never been animated in a previous version before. It's adapted from a storyline from the amazing manga for Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin.

As for the animation staff, I'm not sure who's handling it but I believe Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, the original art director and character designer for First Gundam is in charge of the whole thing. He may be working with the Yamato remake people, but I don't know if that's the case or not.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin manga is also written and drawn by Yasuhiko, and is a really detailed and very slightly modified remake of the original TV series that ditches the storyline inconsistencies and makes it a more solid narrative overall. It's still mostly the original story, just an 'aged' version to match the matured tastes of the original fanbase.

There's an awesome forward in the version published in the USA written by Hideaki Anno. He praises Yasuhiko, a guy that walked away from the anime industry when it turned into a bunch of moe bullshit. In the forward, Anno says that he greatly contributed to the moe anime culture (Evangelion-Rei and Asuka) and he really, really regrets it. It was written in 2005.

If you're talking about a different First Gundam remake, it's news to me.

Spoiler:
In the end of the first series, Erina escaped in Dio's coffin from what i could tell. Then in part 3 they dredge up Dios same coffin, so the only thing I can think of is he somehow fused to johnathons body and swam underwater until he could take the coffin back. Either way, it was pretty weird how they didnt explain it at all

Spoiler:
Theory 1: There were two coffins on board
Theory 2: The Coffin Erina was in had two compartments and Erina was in the top one. Dio was in the lower and the coffin sank.
Theory 3: Back then Araki was just a shit writer and didn't think about
