I have a legit AF3 MVS cart with clean contacts that doesn't even register in my MV4 mobo, which is working fine otherwise for like 30 other carts. I've tested in all 4 slots by itself and with other carts, cleared backup RAM, no good. Boots to crosshatch when solo, and BIOS skips that slot when other carts inserted. Doesn't show up in BIOS at all. I take the same cart to a MV4F I have, and it plays perfectly, no issues. Both mobos have UniBIOS 4.0. Any ideas?

Sounds kind of typical. I would give the cart and slots another thorough clean with a contact cleaner like Deoxit.

There's a good chance the pins aren't aligning quite right on that particular board. Try removing the game PCB's from the plastic shell and insert the bare PCB's in the mobo.

Interesting. I have a legit AF3 MVS cart where the sound randomly quits on two out of three of my MVS one slot boards. After Game Over and the game cycles back to the Video System logo, the sound system resets and the sound works again for between 2 - 10 minutes.

I haven't had time to dig into the issue any further, but it seems to only happen with AF3 - other carts work fine with all three of my MVS boards. Must be a cursed game!
