Last week I've been playing:

Neo
FHD

DC
Border Down

PSX
ThunderForce V PS

PS2
KoF NW

unearthed ol' TF V and got hooked again... despite its polygon-based graphics which didn't age too well, it still looks good and plays like a dream. The weapon system is ace... Free Range probably is the coolest extra weapon ever, I also dig the Craw (Claw) system... best of TechnoSoft, and IMO the crown of the TF series.

Takumaji- Free Range is so damn fun. I remember that weapon rocking my world when I finally figured out how to really use it. It's so satisying. Love TF5.

I've been playing

MVS

Rage of the Dragons
Garou
King of Fighters 95

PS2

Gundam: G Gundam vs. Z Gundam - I really cant get sick of this game. It's dull and repetitive, but so enjoyable. I've only unlocked 30 percent of everything so far and I've been playing on and off for a year now.

PSP

Gundam Battle Tactics- Played this at TGS and fell in love with it. It's just like the capcom games but your mech moves a little slower and the graphics are grittier (and not as good) From what I played though it seems like it has some light sim aspects that will be fun. You can also smash mechs on the ground, stomp on them and stuff. Really really cool.

Reading you mention ThunderForce V on the PS, made me want to play it right afterwards. Still pretty awesome. The music is kickass, just like i remember. I still believe TF III has better music and IV had the best play experience. Their all good games in the end. Your right about the graphics in the TF V, though. They haven't aged very well over the years.

I agree about the Free Range weapon. :buttrock: I finally figured how to use it properly too. In the past, I thought you could only use it behind you.
