Better late than never. Seriously though, great news.

I'll dust off my old, outdated ps3 vf5 in anticipation.

I can't wait for this fucking game. I'm so fucking in need of some new VF shit that it's not even funny. Because of the outcry from the fighting game community Sega AM2 is now catering to a world market instead of their recent domestic only attitude with VF.

From what I've seen so far nearly everything seems much better like the character animations, the additions to the movelists as well as the stage music. The stage music has a slight oldschool videogame sound to it. When I look at this game it just has this slightly more "epic" feel to me. However one thing I kinda noticed that bothers me a bit is it seems like the float combos seem longer by just a bit. We'll just have to wait and see when it get's released.
Looks great!

THAT 'FINAL SHOWDOWN' LOGO...
is absolute cack btw. Regardless, I'll be giving this one a good old fashioned spin!

It's a second chance on my part, as I really didn't like VF5 as much as 4 & 4EVO *gulp*...

Ugh. Digital download. I hope they at least bring it to Steam. The new Sonic games and Binary Domain were pretty good on PC.

D, please get this on 360. That is all.

Man I gotta get it fixed for that to happen but I'll eventually get this on the ecksbocks. I'm gonna need maximum competition to get where I wanna be with my characters.

Ho. Lee. Shit.

I never thought this was gonna come out here, not in a million billion years.

PSN version here I come.

P.S. I'm pretty sure I'm the worst VF player in the history of time. Get ready for some easy victories, fellas. ;)

Check out this video that touches on the tutorial and the customization mode. Practice mode even has the frame data showing advantage and disadvantage. This is just too good. I can't wait. There is just no reason not try to get into this game. Everything is laid out for you to learn and understand it's system.

And people will still bitch that the game's still hard. People can't find a character they like, go into training mode and figure out what works. That's what I did. I played VF1 and used Pai and Sara. When I saw Lion with his mantis style I've stuck with him since 2. Whenever a home version came out I spent the day in training mode figuring out all of his moves and playing around in arcade mode seeing what worked the best. I'll be spending a lot of time with training since all of the videos I've watched looked like they gave him (and everybody else) a ton of moves that I've never seen before. So as much as I want to just grind the hell outa VF5, I know most of that won't matter because how stuff's changed.

^Indeed, training mode done right. The people who bitch are usually those who are either:

a) Put off by VF's austere style. (Where are my Kazama brothers with purple lightning flashing everywhere, or the boxing Kangaroo, help!)

b) Not that interested in fighting games to begin with, who just want to complain for complaining's sake.

do people actually complain about VF? I too am guilty of not playing it competitively as there is never a scene to motivate learning such a intricate game, sure I know my way around a few characters move sets and I have bought pretty much every released home version.... but I never had the chance to play a VF game like I play ST or third strike.

I'm hoping this changes with final showdown, if the netcode is good this may be the only new game I play for a good while.

What too many people do is float around too many characters. At most you can maybe be great with 2,possibly add another few that you are decent with. Better to just play the shit out of one character.

For me I really didn't like any of the other characters, I just thought the Mantis Kung-Fu looked awesome and it pissed my friend Craig off because Lion's stance can make it so a lot of high attack wiff him. That and his crouching K-K that does that short double poke kick. When in doubt, poke em' out. Jean does look like a lot of fun, so if I ever pick up a second character I might give him a try. Most of the other characters like Akira and Goh felt really stiff to me. I can just get in a flow with Lion. Once you find a character you like and figure out what works the game is really fun. I mostly play with the game on very hard, so I really need to fight hard to win, when I do it's awesome.

Jeffery w/ that GTS! 8^)

Since we aren't getting a new GiantGram anytime soon, I'll be getting my grapple fix w/ Wolf & Jeffery.

Can't *wait* for this.

Yes.

$15? Fuck yes!

So hype now. I played VF5 quite a bit when the PS3 came out but didn't have anyone to play with unlike VF4/E. I got a friend of mine really into it and we both would feed off each other and battle hard every week. Best fighting game times for me not a Neo.

Can't wait to DL this and decide which character to learn/relearn.
