I'm a Vikings fan, but this will probably make me go to more Raider Games.

Don Banks, SI.com

The Minnesota Vikings have reached an agreement in principle to trade Pro Bowl receiver Randy Moss to the Oakland Raiders, a source close to the situation told SI.com on Wednesday.

The deal involving Moss cannot be consummated until March 2, the first day of the league's new financial year. But a source of the trade talks between the Raiders and Vikings said a trade is "likely" and that compensation has been agreed to. The Vikings will receive Oakland's first-round pick this year (No. 7) and an unidentified veteran player -- possibly cornerback Philip Buchanon.

"There are still some hurdles," the source said. "It's not a slam dunk. But the deal is in place."

If completed, the trade of Moss will give the Raiders one of the deepest receiving corps in the NFL. Oakland reached a contract agreement Tuesday with potential free agent Jerry Porter.

If there is something that could make me hate Moss more it would be him playing in Oakland or Baltimore.

if we can get a decent QB since gannon might retire. looks like bledsoe might be in the black and silver since he got cut from buffalo or jeff garcia since he too got cut after his one season stint with cleveland. im hoping my raiders can make a run for the playoffs this upcoming season.

They're going to need all the help they can get, considering San Diego, Denver and Kansas City play in their division. OUCH! :eye:

Looks like Bledsoe is going to be playing in the blue and silver...

The Broncos will dominate the AFC West next year...

Our team sucks now just imagine how much we will suck now that Moss is gone. His trade has been all over the local news today.

P.S. Straight cash homie.

The Vikings do suck. :crying:
I wonder if we will ever see them in the Superbowl in our lifetime?

If the Raiders actually get Randy, I may actually attend a couple of Raiders'
games.

Same here, the Raider Nation is really something to behold, and I would love to see the Oaktown people freaking out as he lays down massive points on the board. If only the Raiders Still had Jerry Rice, it would be a dream team, like back when Randy was a rookie with Cris Carter. I think the Raiders will do well next season.

Yeah, nobody is too happy about this around here.

2 draft picks and a stiff. Awesome.

The most interesting thing I heard today was that Red (the Vikings current owner) can potentially get more cash from the sale of the team having unloaded his salary before the deal goes through. That's a low blow, if it's true.

Yeah, I heard that too.

Too bad I don't give a fuck about the NFL. Can't they just move the Vikes to LA and get it over with? Actually I'm joking -I don't want another NFL team soiling LA (which has now been over 10 years without a team, but now has had 10 years of only the best NFL games on TV).

We didn't get enough for him, but I'm a Twins and Wolves lovah so I won't lose any sleep over the trade, honestly.

Queens, it's officially Dante's team now. Cali, enjoy the new layer of Moss. The man may have issues but you cannot deny his talent.

well he (and the rest of the viking crew) didn't get shit done over the past 5+ years, so just maybe if he moves things might change.

It all began with that 15-1 season and then the collapse, missed the Super Bowl by a shanked field goal.

Word.

Like Spike mentioned, all of Minnesota (And me and my dad) cried, after that field goal attempt.

I've pretty much lost any hope at this point.

We have receivers, now if we could only get a good quarterback, the Raiders would be set.
