Looks better than many released N64 games. Interesting how different it looks from the earlier prototype, that version seemed relatively complete. Guess they went back to the drawing board on some stuff.

Also reminds me of Geist Force.

It likely has not aged well, but Beetle Adventure Racing was legitimately the best racing game on the system at the time.

edit: Also, Star Fox 64 was the best first party game on the system. F-Zero was overshadowed by Sega's GC version, but Star Fox had no such issue with Namco's slop. Of course, one could definitely argue that the 3DS port of Star Fox 64 makes the original obsolete, which then makes me want to bitch about the lack of F-Zero on 3DS.

Agreed! I do love F-Zero GX but i think i prefer F-Zero X, likely due to the music but also because it strikes balance of being hard but fair to every player, whereas GX is for the more hardcore players.
