I've made an offer on blazing star. Got pictures from seller. Cart has us label with serial. But then there is these Chinese stickers that is making me nervous.

Google translate means they say something like "no warranty if seal is broken".

What are your thoughts on this?

Looks like a Chinese warranty sticker, probably happened in China and a Chinese person is likely to have applied the stickers, three reasons to be worried there. What is even more concerning is the fact the seals have been broken so you are right to be nervous, I would be.

'May Bay' in mandarin, specifically the northern dialect basically means bootleg.

Just have him open it up and show you the pcb's. It's most likely legit. If the price is right the grime can always be cleaned up.

I've bought legit US labeled MVS carts with chinese warranty stickers from Aliexpress before. Just cheap KOF games though, I was surprised when they were actually legit and I would have been fine with a boot for the price I paid.

Judging form the pics I'd lean towards this being real, but I'd only take the chance if it had a deep discount. If they're anywhere close to normal selling price I'd pass unless the seller was willing to open it up and take pics of the pcbs.

Looks most likely legit. Chinese and other Asian operators/sellers apply stickers like those. I have a handful of carts with them.

Yeah, at this point I'm curious myself. Tell the seller to deliver pictures of the PCBs because this might be a legit cart that was sold in Taiwan. The mystery is afoot!

If the seller is skittish about opening the cart, have them at least take pics of the contacts on the bottom. You cant see those in any of the images. But you could at least line those up with images of legit boards if you can see them.

Well I have this picture. I didn't care to post it first because I thought it had no significance.

Edit: The pins line up with the backsides of progbk1 and cha512y. Just like it should according to mvs scans.

Actually, I was the guy who first suggested it was legit. Before then, you were going to pass on it.
