Hi buddy...
Im in Wakefield Nr.Leeds and have been battling this problems for ages and just last week I cracked it!!!

I got a HP1220c A3 printer, some Epsom thin photo paper again A3 for £22 ( not cheap! ) and hey presto, I can print full size inserts in AMAZING quality... I download the PDF Adobe files off the forum guys shock box pages and then use a program called Rea Convertor to change them to BMP files for use in Paint Shop Pro... There I can print them at the correct size and tweak the colours and flaws in them ( no offence guys! )

Most of the inserts including my own that I have done are around 30MB so they are large to email but will go on a CD easily... however its easy to download the PDF at just over 1MB and let the PC convert it into the large Meg file...

So, if you want any help, let me know !!!

:D:D:D

Id like to see some of these "fixes" youve done and also some of your own inserts youve made.

Hi buddy..
Most of the fixes are minimal things that you cant see unless you print them off... For example I replaced the whole of the front image of the KOF2003 classic look one ( cant remember where I got it, maybe BigBears design.. looks like the AES one anyway ) with the playmore hi-res wallpaper image... same picture but extreamly hi-res and sharp so prints fantastic... added a better logo to it in the top left corner and a small soft shadow too.. so looks very similar on the screen but prints photo quality...

Also, just for example downloaded BigBears classic AOF3 insert... all the black on the back under zoom had tons of scan dust and white specs so I colored them all in and re-blacked it... the game logo writing too on the front of the insert was slightly 1 degrees sloping so I corrected that and add a gausian blur lightly to the red heads on the front too as they showed scan artifact dot trace.... things like that Ive done on nearly all I have downloaded... Also, the classic Metal Slug 1 had slightly off-white boxes around the Meg counts numbers so when printed they showed an off-white around the red letters inside a good white.. made it look like a sticker had been stuck inside the white box so I re-did the white and the meg numbers in IMPACT font on all inserts with a soft shadow that looks great..... I also changed all the Grey on the Slug 1 to the lighter grey of the classic inserts as it was too dark and again sharpened up the spine logo's and took away the scan dots on the fronts image again too....

It just tidies them up to near photo perfect BUT, i still say they are EXCEPTIONAL work to start with and think all the best to who did them originally....

As for my own bits, I will show them soon as Im still working on them... Jockey Grand Prix you have already seen which was a bit pants as the "theme" of the game is fairly dull so that makes for an equally dull insert no matter how good you try.. horses are horses if you know what I mean...:( :D

WELLLLLL EXCUUUUUUUUUUUUUSE ME! :)
The criticism is appreciated and you must have one heck of a printer if it displays the flaws you described.
The scanner I used was a really poor one and I am going to toss it out tonight after reading this, actually I was debating whether to do it or not for quite awhile because it still works somewhat..
The scanner I used to scan SSZS for Chris yields a better scan so I will probably be going over most of the work in my archive.

HeHe... :D Hey no offence BIGBEAR buddy... :D Its not critisism.... your inserts and your site are simply awsome stuff and you also supplied me my first 10 shockboxes too... Nearly all the stuff on your site is perfect and free and I mentioned this in my above comments saying " all the best " to those who do the work first as you created it and I rate it 10/10....

No offence to anyone for that matter... my Jockey Grand Prix isnt a patch on your stuff chapps.... Im mearly cleaning bits up, the actual design is just right in my mind....

Keep up the good work lads... Its made me spend A LOT OF MONEY after seeing you guys pages of creations.... ;)

In the years I have been into the Neo and my webstore and ebay I have NEVER looked at MVS at all... It was your site BigBear and NeoCverA's too that made me change my mind into buying a huge photo printer, shock boxes, some carts, a 1-slot, unibios, loads of INK, photo paper and a supergun.... all from your artwork!!!

Regards
Richard - NNooooooobbb at MVS !!! :loco:

You could contact Fredscape.....

I've had the Advanced Entertainment System in between Neo and Geo on the spines writing taken off of all of my inserts. I figured it isn't AES so why is it there.

ADVANCED ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM slogan can be found on the CD package as well as the home cartridge package among other Neo Geo related products so the removal was not necessary unless you prefer.
AES was the acronym adopted for home system & cartridges by NGF and it caught on.
