I have the problem of being a low budget neo gamer, I bought an AES, mainly because I don't have room for a cabinet, and wouldn't want to lug a supergun around.

I have to choose my games very wisely, or get money towards them as gifts.

It will take me a long time to get the newer carts though, I mean I can't ever see myself paying £400 for MOTW or similar.. but it doesn't bother me too much as long as I have the machine and a few good games.

Same here. Although I'll be offering £1,000 next year for a US Slug 1. Two months saving.

Even the Japanese MOTW and RB games are ultra expensive. It's ok though, It reminds me of being young again when I had to save up months for games. Now that I'm working I can buy usual games (Imports - DC, N64, GCN) whenever I want. It gets boring though when you buy games whenever you want. Collecting Neo games is gonna be a venture and a half - I just have to make sure I buy the rare and expensive carts now before I end up with a girlfriend or something. LOL.

the thing is , I've got this fund I use for aes games that I chuck money into,

now, with me being a student, I can't justify spending £200+ on a game even if I did save it up specifically for that purpose.

kof98 coming soon, for 109£, that isn't going to break the bank _that much.

You know what, with all that money, you could get a super gun a 1 slot,US metal slug 1, kof 98, kof 99 last blade 2 and motw on mvs and still have money left over, then after that all the games you get wil be making you savings, i use to own aes till i found a more cheaper way of playing the games

You clever man Kazuya!

Imagine that they're talking about MS1 (AES) instead of Hi-Fi equipment and the quote makes even more sense in these forums.

BTW, I'm getting rid of my AES shortly (got a brand new one on its way now). It's fully boxed - any takers?

I'd consider a trade for a super minty fresh copy of Waku Waku 7

Hey, I just wanted to join in. After all, Canada has the same Monarchy. Even though it is silly, the Queen thinks I should be a part of your thread.

So, whats up, mates?

I'm selling my AES purely because I am getting a new AES.

I've always wanted to have a brand spanky, fresh out the box, new AES since...Christ...the dawn of time

I don't need two AES's. I've already got a brand new AES CD (got rid of my previous AES CD when I got this) so I'm more than happy with what I got.

Anyway. The AES is a US system with UK power supply (3rd party) so no step down is needed. Comes with a new RGB scart lead, the original style arcade stick and is fully boxed with instructions.

Condition?

The base unit is in mint condition with a few barely visible marks (you need to look real close to notice 'em). Slots are superb and I keep the unit wrapped in plastic when not in use. Oh, and the unit still has the shop's original dated warranty seals in place.

The only thing wrong with the unit is some pillock has pulled the serial no. label off the bottom (fuck know's why).

The joystick has the usual fade on the GEO part of the lettering and has a few marks on it. Kind of thing you'd expect on a 10 year old joystick. It works great tho, really responsive and never let me down.

The box is in very good condition, fraying a bit around the edges. Foam insert is intact, including the flimsy foam lid. Instruction book is pristine - no creases, folds, marks, nothing.

So all in all a very good back up system or ideal first system for someone who can't afford the big bucks needed for a new Neo (see the Neo Geo store)

Price?

Dunno. Around £200 would be nice. If you live near me I'll even deliver it personally! Make me an offer...someone...anyone?

PM me if you've got any other questions. Later.

Any Neo Geo fans near Norwich?

I recently came across this site (can't beleve I didn't find it earlier). Reading up on the Neo Geo again gave me the urge to dust off my old AES system and have a play.

Does anyone know what happened to the Neo Geo owners club from a couple of years ago? I got some information on it, but it wasn't until 1995 that I managed to get a Neo-Geo.
