Trying to get broken PSP working again

Hey guys, I'm trying to get a non-working PSP working again. I bought a Pandora battery thinking that it might help, but nothing is displayed on the screen when powered on. With the Pandora battery and memory stick in, the two lights on the left of the PSP light up and the Power light lights up, but there's still nothing displayed on the screen. I've tried adjusting the volume and pressing the brightness button to get idea of anything is going on, but I didn't hear or see anything.

Does anybody have any tips or suggestions to get this thing working?

Did the system work for you previously, or did you buy the system as broken?

Could be a bad LCD.

Did you format the memory stick to be a magic memory stick needed to boot the custom firmware?
If not, these instructions should work to get your memory card formated:

If you don't see anything still, which you should on a PSP 1000, just press X after your wifi and memory card LED's are done flashing.

Yes, I believe the card is properly formatted with all the right files on it for using the Pandora battery.

The lights don't flash at all. Instead, the 3 lights all light up and stay lit up.
