The last movie was mostly setup and they're gonna just abandon that. Fun.

What do you expect from a corporation which is creatively and morally bankrupt?
I mean, even being creatively bankrupt it would still make sense to start where the last movie ended. But nope.

Disney shelved Tron 3 for a long time after they bought Star Wars. Then they ruined Star Wars, so now they're back to finish ruining Tron.

That's a really unfortunate name for the UK market

NIN...
I guess even with the infinite money hack they couldn't get Daft Punk.
Would rather have the Glitch Mob in that case.

Fuck Jared Leto, I don’t know how he keeps getting work.
So much this.

I love Legacy. Easily one of the best 15/70 3D IMAX experiences I ever had. And while having Tron stuff in the real world sounds interesting between not continuing directly where Legacy left off and having Leto as the lead... :(

Seems kind of soon to be releasing a remake of the Adam Sandler movie Pixels.

Tron fan here so I am cautiously optimistic.

I’m really excited because the director of Legacy announced that they remastered that movie in 4k and hinted at fixing the horrible deaging CGI at the same time. I assume they will drop that on D+ during the summer to get folks hyped for this.

Jared Leto is awful but it seems like he is the bad guy here and the rumor is that the grid he came from is a creation of Dillinger’s son.

NiN soundtrack should be good, and I look forward to the eventual remix tracks.

I'm really hoping that Legacy gets a 4K disc release. I'd heard that Eiger was pushing for more physical releases when he took over again so let's hope that makes Legacy get a physical with the new 4k remaster that's been said to have been done

The trailer is very striking visually, which means it did its job.

I didn't enjoy Legacy very much but friends have told the older me to give it another chance. I will probably do that eventually.

At first I was very concerned about the programs coming into our world. When fantasy characters come into our world, it smacks of a cheap cash grab made at a budget but this trailer isn't peddling a cheap looking film.

And also, Legacy showed Quora (sp) coming into our world at the end so the precedent has been set. Makes me wonder if the girl is her daughter with Garret Hedlund's character or if they're just going to forget that film ever existed.

They've got my attention.

Legacy was a near perfect movie for what it was attempting to be. On the other hand, my unpopular opinion is that the original movie does not hold up at all. I loved it as a kid, but tried rewatching it immediately after seeing Legacy for the first time, and I couldn't even make it all the way through. The effects, whatever, fine for the time and I appreciate the ambition. But I did not remember it being so cartoonishly over-the-top hammy acted with such hokey dialogue from everyone.

The Ares trailer looks like a completely soulless phone-in. Couldn't be less interested after loving Legacy and wanting a sequel. Really not impressed with the promo shots released:

Legacy is a really cool movie but it's far from a great movie. Great visual design, great effects (except for the deaged Flynn), great sound design, incredible soundtrack. But it's mostly setup for a future story we never get to see, and not a ton actually happens in the movie itself. Hedlund is not great as a lead actor and the script is pretty soft. But the movie works because everything looks and sounds so rad, Jeff Bridges has a ton of charisma, and Olivia Wilde is hot as fuck.

I attempted to watch Tron, for the first time, some time with in the last five years and I just couldn’t do it and I even thought the graphics were cool. Not sure how far I made it. Halfway maybe?
