10 Rare carts in a collection!!!!!!!!!? Not me. I have a couple and am looking for a couple more but you could count my rare homecarts on one hand.

P.S. The hardest to find ARE the most expensive.

Pedu ,

There are a couple of dunk dream on ebitch - ebay. The hardest to find are usually most expensive.

I have World Hereos perfect and MOTW

The find to get is Metal Slug 1. I will not pay a grand for that game.

About 5 years ago I ordered a copy of Sengoku from some game store that advertised in a magazine. It was REALLY cheap. Like $15 or $20. When it arrived at my house, I had an English copy of Sengoku 2.

Hold on, the rarest home carts, top 10, are (not based on price, but from how often I come across on Yahoo Japan and other retailers in Europe)

1. Chibimaruko Chan Delux Quiz
2. Metal Slug
3. Twinklestar Sprites
4. Kizuna Encounter (Super Tag Battle)
5. Big Tournament Golf (Neo Turfmasters)
6. Blazing Star
7. Overtop
8. Breakers
9. Ninja Masters
10. Shin Oh Ken (Ragnagard)

Within the last 6 months, I've only seen 1 of the above games, none at all for Chibi Quiz and Overtop.

There's one copy (1st time I've seen on Yahoo) of Kizuna Encounter right now, here's the current bid

http://page3.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c4528420

Increasingly, the prices of NG games have polarized, meaning the more common fighters like KOF and Samurai series (except 4) have gone down, while the values of rarest titles have more than tripled since initial launch. Sorry, Mark of the Wolves is not rare, the prices are up simply because of the popularity, I've seen this game on Yahoo Japan 5 (maybe more) times within the last 4 months.

I got emails saying that some members reply this topic, but when I get here I can't find them. Is this one of the old server problem?

Vincewy > very informative, it has been a long time since I saw your last post here

EDIT>> I have figured out the problem now, apparently my email account is bouncing.

Well, I still visit the site but it's just that most topics are quite volatile (induicing flames) that I'd rather not get involved. I'll be glad to answer ??? for Neo-Geo, just email me.

Yes, this goes to Robert, there're 5 games that came out on Neo-Geo CD only, meaning you can't play on MVS, emulator, and/or home carts, they were developed on NGCD system kit

Cross Sword 2
Samurai RPG (Bushido Retsuden)
Brikinger
Final Romance 2
Zintriks

also 2 demo titles, not considered games (sample)

ADK World
Neo-Geo CD Special

Oh, forgot to answer Cross Sword 2, I do enjoy the game but I've heard from many others who prefer Cross Sword 1.

Thats not a very good detector anymore.
These games used to sell that way, & sometimes rarely they still do.

Let's face it. Most people that sell these very
rare titles dont sell that way.
They know whos buying them for the prices they wish to sell.
Many of these carts sell back & forth with no
"forum announcement" or auctions.
Thats just a pain in the ass.

Why wait around, & get flames from people for selling so high.
Especially when they know several private individuals that'll pay the price.

You just never see any of this when your not activly buying em.

Cross Sword 2 was only released for Neo Geo cd. It's fairly decent, but gets monotomous after awhile. The game is much better than Cross Sword 1 though.

I agree 100%, most of the "big" collectors aren't the active members in this forum

I agree w/ you too. Rob Lee, a person I know in my area, has a complete set like Shawn, and he does not even look here at NEOGEO.com. Yet, he knows all the "big boys" like Shawn, Dion, Ray, Carlson, Chris, Jeff...

LOL, I have the complete set too (all 106) but I'm still involved.

Keep in mind that the rarity of games differs between US/Europe and Japan. Besides the 10 games I mentioned earlier, there're a few more rare games that fetch big bucks in Japan

Waku Waku 7
Ultimate 11
Magical Drop 2
Magical Drop 3
Pulstar
Quiz Meintantei Neo & Geo

Other than those games, the early non-fighters are very hard to find in Japan right now, such as Magician Lord, Nam 75, Ninja Commando, Cyberlip, Last Resort, Andro Dunos, etc. These games are easier to find in US, in fact, I've seen Japanese bidding on eBay US for those games. The popular fighting games made between 93 and 95 are dirt cheap right now.

In US and Europe, the hardest to find games are more recent fighters that are not in KOF or Samurai series, such as Last Blade 2 and Garou:MOTW since most are produced in Japan.

Hmmm... I only own ten carts so I guess they are all the rarest carts I own. For this reason, I feel like it's a silly question in the first place.
