I'm interested in seeing more, but as it stands, this does not bode well. In my 13 years of experience working as a graphic designer with multiple printers and clients, these are clear signs of a forgery. That kind of halftone pattern on the plane alone is enough to close the case for me. If what Charmane is providing is true, the cart is most definitely a fake.

MEG COUNT RIGHT NOW

The MEG COUNT on front of the cart of DavidG has a very high definition, so as all the easyly vectorizable parts. A 1996 game is a little bit dirty on meg count. Just take a Last Blade, or any release, the ink layers are not perfect. Plus, the color is not SOLID, FULL.

The DavidG’s copy is way too good for a 95 release. It’s closer to the arcade PI2.

TonK it all boils down to this: if it were you on the other side of the fence, you wouldn't allow this kind of activity fly. In the past you have held many members here to a higher standard, yet it seems you don't hold yourself to the same standard. If you truly are not at fault and did this with the best of intentions, then I would advise you do everything you can to make it right. I've had many dealings here where maybe I wasn't totally in the wrong. Whether it was by accident or happenstance, something went awry. And you know what I did? I did all I could to be a person of integrity and make things right.

I think what many people have issue with is your unwillingness to meet them in the middle. Your tone is more hostile. It's either love me or hate me, believe me or don't. Look, as a friend let me say even if you are 100% in the right, being humble is never a bad thing. I've found being humble/meek goes a long way man.

. If you look at the SNK, or NEO GEO LOGO on the japanese copy, everything is still sharp. The orange or the NEO is a yellow with little dots of dark. The videosystem is crazy vector, even if it is less than 2,5mm high.

The quality of the Aerofighter 3 US is so low, that on a high res scan, the Videosystem copyright, seen in big looks like lost in the black
. You think you missed the scan, the scan is not working. But in fact, all the plastic is sharp so you have to understand : this is a shitty shit. I deliberately left some plastic on the right, for me to accuse that I did the blur myself.




As a matter of example, look at the sticker of the same era : JOCKY GAME !
Everything is sharp. The copyright, even looked way more close, is PERFECT. The logo by istelf starts to loose, but you can still see it’s a sum of dots, not a blurry strange thing you don’t even understand where starts and where finishes the letter.

I didn't see these discrepancies when I saw the cart, and that type of stuff was exactly what I was looking for.

I would love for another owner to come forward with their own high res pictures of the same points that chamane has offered.

Problem with the sticker is that with the scanner, you have not the glossy effect, which hide a lot.

It's very high DPI, it's way more easy.

All I know is that this thread won't end constructively, and until someone truly independent, with no vested interest in the personalities involved or the collecting of AES cartridges, comes forward and says what is what, then these arguments and accusations will just rage on.

Sadly, the only people I believe that could put this to bed are at SNK, and they won't come forward as they have no interest in this now, as it relates to something, that basically, goes back nearly 20 years.
