You should probably keep it that way tbh. I feel like it's one of those movies people love because it they thought it was the funniest thing ever when they were 13. It has a couple moments but I put it in the same category with stuff like Joe Dirt, Happy Gilmore, Grandma's Boy and The Jerky Boys Movie.

For me, Dirty Work has aged better than the other movies you listed, and I'd argue it's deserving of its cult classic status. I'd like to believe there are enough gags and cameos for any fan of 90s comedy, but what the hell do I know? I saw it at release when I was 13.

Yeah, Trump outperformed polls. The polling isn't reliable. Trump was already defeated in 2020, though it was very close. This would be the first election since January 6, and I just don't think there are enough people with an appetite for that. Then throw the Roe v Wade repeal in there.

He also isn't the incumbent during the worst part of an epidemic and world-historic economic contraction this time, either. I don't trust myself to intuitively grant weight to the issues that people will care about.

Tips are not wages. That's the point of not taxing them as wages. Employers pay wages and deduct them as a business expense. Tips are gifts and are not generally deductible by the tipper, who has already paid taxes on the money used to tip. It's double taxation and a pain in the ass to calculate.

Not taxing tips decreases tax revenue so the responsible thing to do would be to raise taxes or cut spending elsewhere which probably isn't going to happen.

Repealing the income tax isn't realistic at this point as it would turbocharge the deficit, national debt and inflation even further.

They’ll have to get rid of the sub-minimum wage laws that are currently on the books for tipped employees.

Because they don’t care and haven’t worked a day in their life and if on the off-chance they have it was so many decades ago they’ve forgotten.

I’m sure both sides want the legislation as their win. Republicans will block it until Trump is in office and then the Democrats will block it.

Neither side wants to govern.
