I didn't watch every second of the video. Are there any lessons to be learned from this conversion that might help in the conversion of other PS2-arcade hardware games to run on a stock ps2? Would be neat if we could play that stuff on PS2 similar to the atomiswave to dreamcast conversions.

No real lessons. The dump came from the DDR / bemani community. It wasn’t readily available before that. I need to find an IO board for Python 2 to see if I can bypass it and get signals into a stock PS2 with the decrypted HDD image. I just need to find one first
