According to the Guardian link above, Billy Paul was stationed at the same base in Germany as Elvis Presley and Gary Crosby (son of Bing Crosby), they even wanted to start a band at some point.

Dunno who will be next and I'm not sure whether I can stomach yet another dead legend/music hero of mine.
