Okay so, presumably the more neogeo websites, magazines and fanzines etc. there are will help keep the neogeo alive. I am still new here but I deeply reaspect many of the members here, especialy neolord and have subscribed to his magazine. I am supporting the scene and I am interested in neogeo thefor I bought his magazine. Its simple. I can go on and on here, but what u said about his magazine was counter productive and without reason.

All I EVER originally said was that I needed PROOF about Samurai Shodown V BEFORE I would BELIEVE it. I even said "no offense to Neolord" but that I would believe that kind of information when reading it on a REAL news website. What's wrong with saying that? Magic Box or Madman's Cafe, or whatever . . . but you're going to believe a site that pulls the rumors out of a hat, and updates its news section like 5 times a YEAR?!?!

It's about VERIFICATION, thats all. We see so many bullshit rumors, posted all over the net, that we cannot TRUST them just because they're UP ON SOME WEBSITE!! If Neolord really wanted to verify that news, he could provide some backup, not just a paragraph or two pulled out of the air!! Instead, he posts the "official press release" with no backup at all . . just a bunch of words.

Anyway, thats all I said originally, but Neolord is SUPER SENSITIVE to any "criticism" of his stuff, and he freaked out and acted all high and mighty about it after my original post. So, I played around a little, thats all. Check my posts, they're mostly tongue-in-cheek, sarcastic humor as Biomotor Unitron correctly pointed out. I mean, do you think I'm NOT joking when I mention Legend of Failure Joe: The Turd Returns? Or my two new "weapons" from Samurai Shodown V, the kanatanakina and shimukisatu? Have you ever heard of those? No? Well NEITHER HAVE I, SINCE I JUST MADE THEM UP OUT OF THE AIR!!!

See, a bit of joking, and still he freaks out and takes EVERYTHING SERIOUSLY. Even the thing about his dog, chuckles . . . I thought that was kinda funny myself . . .

So, in closing, Michael needs to not be so sensitive, and also maybe SHOW SOME PROOF ABOUT SAMURAI V, instead of just posting it on his site which never has current news anyway . . . K?

In a recent Press Release, SNK of Japan mentioned that 4 MVS games would be making their way to the Neo-Geo cartridge system. Nightmare in the Dark, Sengoku 3, King of Fighters 2001, and Samurai Shodown 5 will all see an official home release without the aid of certain distributor. According to inside sources at SNK, Samurai Shodown 5 will include a new cast of characters. Look for the return of Haohmaru, Hanzo, and Genjuro , but don't expect the remaining cast to make the transition.

Well I gave GUI the info about how to actually FIND your "news" section, because the problem is that your "site" front page LOOKS LIKE the "news" section of your page, but lots of people didn't understand that your front page isn't the "news" itself, they have to click on the little tiny "news" button on the right side . . . and the word "news" itself on the right side isn't even part of the hotlink for the "section". Kinda makes it not very friendly to get into.

As for your flame thread that you foolishly started in the NEWS AND RUMORS section (guess you don't understand what the News and Rumors section is for), whats the big deal? Caris Nautilus is just a moron who posts flaimbait all OVER these forums, his credibility is crap. If that's your justification for your third grade name-calling, I think you might want to grow up a little . . . Mikey.

here: I believe Yuckydog and 2 other people are behind this. Prove me wrong, because I have e-mails from him (Yuckydog) that mimic the same rants about Neo-News that Chimpalicious is saying in this thread (i.e. he didn't like the irregular schedule,the page length, the printers we used, and the fact that we didn't use expensive high gloss paper). Now tell me, how could you know about the page length and print quality of Neo-News when you've never seen an issue, unless you spoke to someone who didn't like it?

Chimpmeister’s attacks can be beneficial. I remember reading a post he made on the dhp list concerning neo-geo.com. He criticized the horrible overuse of java (hover buttons). He didn’t hold back at all. You see, the main page had hover buttons for links, in addition to the menu. After reading his post, I was motivated to revise. However, it took me several months and anther 50 complaints to get around to changing the menu.

I’m surprised by Neolord’s recent behavior. Neolord is handling the attacks quite calmly from what I read. It’s as if he doesn’t want to fight. I am curious to hear the source of the news concerning the home cart releases.
