Epyx World Games > Olympic Games
They just released a remaster of Rogue on the Switch and it's pretty great. I'm hoping we get some more Epyx love soon. I'd love to revisit Temple of Apshai.

So did that Italian girl get beaten up by a dude or a chick? There seems to be some confusion about it and now Logan Paul is in trouble.

Again.

My understanding is that she is a cisgender woman who has a hormonal imbalance so she is just a strong ass woman.

Logan Paul is a goobtube moron desperately trying to stay relavent and who appears to value fame (and the money it brings) more than humanity.

I think the controversy is because she is banned from competition by one boxing federation, however, a separate boxing federation is the governing body at the Olympics.

I’m still waiting for Ja Rule to tell me how to feel on the issue.

Well if she's a biological female and was cleared to compete under IOC rules, I'm not understanding why this is a problem. It's not like the IOC, as corrupt and shitty an organization as they are, is beholden to what some other feds do and don't allow.

I am firmly on the side of 'men shouldn't compete against women in sports' argument in this dispute. But if they were both women and they're the same weight class, there's no issue for my part in this instance.

I learned about this because on WrestleTube and on Wrestling Twitter/X, everyone was going off about Logan Paul's remarks.

Call me old fashioned but I'd ban all women from combat sports. Problem solved!

I saw JK Rowling was going off about it on Twitter and then someone pointed out that boys and girls both play Quidditch together, lmao.
She could easily argue that magic levels the playing field.

She could also easily argue that it's fiction and a fairy tale.

I'd say that after what Rowling's been through in her life, her real world position on the matter is more than justified.

But that is still funny.

I really haven’t cared about the Olympics in a bit and am perennially disappointed in US Soccer but I did watch some of their loss (with three former Philadelphia Union) players on the team.

I was at a bar in Connecticut today and happen to catch the 100m woman’s race. I have a very good friend who is from St Lucia that lives in the US now and today St Lucia won their first ever medal and a gold at that.

I haven't cared since the Olympics came to Los Angeles in 1984. That was also the first Olympics I cared about, and I stopped caring mid-Olympics. I like the idea, but the reality makes the whole thing meaningless, imo.

I'll always watch the 100m final - fastest man on earth, that's a fucking cool title.

I was going to say 'until the drug Olympics come along' (which is currently being arranged), but I don't expect the 100m to change because of that in any way.

I used to watch it as a child but 1996 in Atlanta all they showed on TV that year was swimming and gymnastics so I stopped watching.

The year before the 1994-1995 MLB Strike killed a lot of my interest in baseball as well and that never recovered after that.

Latest one is I don’t live too far from the Philadelphia Union, and would go to four to five matches a season, I don’t care if it’s a dollar I’m not paying Apple to watch games, so I’ve been done with the MLS since then.

The only time I ever truly cared about the Olympics was 1992. And not really since then.

I liked it you needed some dexterity to play the game versus most games.

The NES version was the only game my Father would play with me, so that holds special to me.

We had Daley Thompson's decathlon on the zx speccy, quality game. First we broke the joystick clean off, then with no joystick we moved to bashing the keyboard until it bowed.

My dad was big into sports and loved to watch the Olympics, specially winter games. The only time my sis and I weren't bored to tears because of it was in 1976 when toy makers BIG (of Bobby car fame) released a series of play figures called Play-BIG with a Montreal '76 winter Olympics theme. I really liked the little Biathlon rifles one of the sets came with.

It's just not my thing to watch sports for hours, with the exception of footie, specially during big tournaments.
