I agree with brentsg, Todd, dragynchylde, outsider, and others who have mentioned the laws of supply and demand. To others here who whine and bitch about the prices, you guys sound totally pathetic. Ebay is a MUCH MUCH larger source of sales for Neo Geo carts, and VERY OFTEN you can get them cheaper than at Shawn's store, especially for the really high dollar carts. You guys act like Shawn sets all the prices for carts, and then the ENTIRE MARKET follows, which is some of the stupidest shit I've heard in a long time!!
Supply and demand . . . its basic stuff, if the carts are priced too high, they won't sell, they'll just sit there. If the price is lowered to a better level, they MIGHT sell, depends on the going market rate. If they just sit there, its no problem to you, just buy elsewhere if you want the games.
This isn't rocket science, but even as pathetically simple as it is, some of you guys seem to be unable to figure it out . . . thats pretty sad, really. Let him price the carts at whatever he wants, if they don't sell it isn't your problem, if they do then it still isn't your problem!! If people are UNWILLING to go to Ebay to buy carts (where they might be less for carts like MOTW, but not necessarily for all Shawn's carts), then let them buy from Shawn, no big deal.

i have personally stopped buying home carts because i have noticed this trend and can see in only a few years time these titles will be worth nothing because of greed.

Newbie enters scene, buys 1 or 2 carts at crazy prices. All the sellers go hmmm. human nature after all.
Then Newbie says, gee I dont feel this game is worth it aafterall. Puts it back on sale trying to get his money back.
Repeat sequence for 4+years.
Also, It doesnt help when certain groups
like ngf call other sellers & tell them
"Hey, your prices are too low, these guys will pay xxx+ amount easily."

Shawn is a very nice person. I have dealed with him before. I wanted to buy some games, and asked if I bought two.. can I have a cheaper prices. He negociated a very good price with me.

If you want to get cheaper prices, try Ebay. But most of the sellers there aren't as reliable (and honest!) as Shawn.
My advice
on't buy "as is" stuffs and dont buy expensive things from Ebay newbies or prepare to get burned.

How come I always see "well-being" guys talking about how fair prices at Shawn's store? Because of those so-called "Collectors", those high-price Neo AES carts jackup to $800 or even $1000 ?
