If they do releases in “volumes” like the first set of ten- I’d expect one Metal Slug and King of Fighters each set. It looks like (from this set at lease) they want as many genres as possible represented, but that may be hard eventually. I do hope they continue with the expensive games, that way if this dies off in a few years we will have most of those available.
The first wave of games was very thoughtfully selected imo. Good variety of genres and games people actually want to play, all of which have $$$$ originals or never came out on AES in the first place.

Could do with the modern age rating being a sticker on the cover with original insert underneath

Samurai Shodown RPG translation finally? :kekeke:
If these do come in waves I hope their is a trend of being able to buy them all in a bundle for a small discount.
A translation is finally out for that, I've played through some of it through emulation since I don't have a NGCD.

The Japanese market is getting Japanese inserts... so... pre-order no.2....
Good news these can be preordered from Amazon Japan, prices are also lower than in the US/UK. Plus shipping they end up costing just as same or very similar to the US/UK releases so not too bad?

I'm calling it now, next batch will include Irritating Stick, complete with special trackball controller that shocks you when you touch the sides. Someone on this forum will put out a mod where you can hook the controller up to your junk so your testicles get shocked while playing

The ones I'd like to see:

the later Samurai Shodown games (anything 4 and up, since I have the ones before it)
Last Blade and Last Blade 2
Anything Metal Slug

And of course, Legend of Success Joe because it's just the BEST!

SVC Chaos somehow.

That one might be tricky. Separate from any potential issues with Capcom (although admittedly, there may be no issues on that front), who knows what kind of "physical" rights Limited Run and Pixnlove got when they did that game for modern systems. It's possible those deals prevent any other physical releases of the game for a while.

Only game I'd buy that's not in volume 1 is Metal Slug X. Hopefully it's in volume 2.

Here you are: https://amzn.asia/d/0fMCYfoU

Thing is that the games can only be found by selecting the standard edition bundle and then looking into the various sub items from there.

For some reasons at the minute the games do not appear as distinct items and searching for them does not yield any results, hope it helps!

If NDO came out on AES+ I'd definitely buy a copy for 80 bucks, but if it doesn't because of the licensing, I won't be too disappointed.

The NGCD port is great, and has quick loading.

Unlike the NGCD of Over Top which is broken as fuck.

The PS4/5 Visco collection port has the car names and sponsors changed, so it could happen in theory.

Also, don’t buy that. It’s a shit compilation with minimal options and settings.

I’d really love to see Matrimelee. I bought mine new from Shawn for $200 in ‘05 and sold it for the same just a few years later. I’m still eating crow over that. Same for SVC Chaos. Bought new and sold later for $200. We don’t even want to talk about Slug 3. Redemption must come…
