Had a quick search and couldn't find anything specific, so here goes..

I picked up the PS2 Orochi Collection on Friday, and have been playing KOF '95 a lot since. It is probably the KOF I have played the least, until now...

Discuss any KOF '95 stuff here.

Anyway, for Guard Cancels, it says in the instruction book that you can do them when your POW bar is full. However, can any move be used as a guard cancel, or are there only specific guard cancel moves, such as specials only?

Ive noticed if you time it right when someone attacks you, you re able to hit with your max and catch them off guard. Usually it happens with Terry, Robert, kim,Ryo and sometime kyo. It s pretty hard to do but when its done its worth it.
Also Ryo s and kim s max can be dome in the air.

You can use (almost) any special or DM for guard cancel, it works just like the cancels in the SFA series.

This is rather gameplay-related, so what about moving this thread to KoF?

Will give it a try. I am using team Mexico at the moment (yeah, not very original I know). Any specials you know of that can't be used as guard cancels?

Takmua I'm not sure but for Ryo & Robert, f, d, df + P will be your best GC

95 rawks. I used to play it in the arcade back in the day. now I only have it on saturn, its a good port, but I want the MVS cart. I suck at the 1p mode. Never played much 2p though, probably suck at that as well. Never the less though, I like it a lot. The Assassin team is awsome in this game. I think I'm gonna hook my saturn up and play it now.

I kind of fluked one out the other day with Ryo. When I play I keep meaning to consciously remember to try the guard cancels, but I always kind of forget, but yeah, I blocked his move and then instantly followed up with the DP. Need to try and incorporate it into my game now...

your best GC will ussually be you dm, especially when your in max and your life is flashing. for instance you (billy) are being cornered by a mai. you power is full and she does her qcb~p move, you GC out of the block with your super and shes dead. easy. use the GC like you would use Hpower in the RB games.

Thanks. I'm mainly using team Mexico at the moment though and most of their DMs have a startup lag. I presume the guard cancel factor doesn't change that, right?

My second team is China. Chin's DM has to be one of the best in the game. I can see that a GC into his DM has much potential :)
