The first one on NES has always been my favorite. Great music, sound and gameplay.
I've never played it, but supposedly there's a decent version for MSX computers too. Some of the homebrew guys at AtariAge were recently talking about possibly porting it to the Colecovision, since the specs for the MSX and Coleco are so similar.
Found a Xbox 360 version for 17 Euro on Amazon. The list of games sounds familiar, looks like the good old Digital Eclipse versions that also came out on PSX. Anyway, thanks for the tip.

A Coleco-version could be interesting. I badly wanted a ColecoVision when it came out, then the C64 hit the streets and that was that.
Anyone remember the Coleco Adam computer? I've read a book on the early days of homecomputing with a chapter on obscure systems and the Adam featured prominently in it. I have a soft spot for early machines like that which often had lots of experimental features and awkward interfaces but also a certain charme that you won't find on later stuff.
EDIT #2:
Finally found my copy of Garrison for Amiga and played it for a bit today. It's a nice Gauntlet clone by Rainbow Arts with good graphics, lots of carefully implemented enhancements you won't find in the original game and great (and highly challenging) gameplay.
Take a look at this YT vid (jump to 1:57 for the actual gameplay action):
Friggin' slow, eh? Yeah, but thanks to the wonders of emulation (WinUAE), it's possible to speed up the game by 50% which makes it even more challenging but also much more playable compared to the real thing.
One of the coolest features of Garrison is the team option, you can add up to five members to your team (Wizard, Warrior, Elf, Valkyrie or Dwarf) and switch to a different one inbetween levels.
