Was able so squeeze a few rounds in.
To please the request of "Information over storytelling" a short summary for today:
Setup
I did check the moves on the net - they were so few I even was able to remember them. (I was thrilled to find that the "Bud spencer slap" aka "Slap" is a special move for Janne)
*) Flash Sword cannot counter Ninpoh Kohrin Kazan (poor mans Hurricane Kick)
*) Flash Sword is NOT Sommersault Kick - I tried to use it defensively and failed horribly - it seems that there is no use for it
*) Sword Hop - seems a bit like the Chun Li stomp in mid air, never managed to use it well today
*) "Roundhouse in the face" CAN counter Ninpoh Kohrin Kazan
*) Throws (as suggested) seem to work VERY well in the first rounds against the CPU (I can't manage to be faster on the throw than the CPU when it stands up though it seems)
*) "The Stone" is still the easiest Opponent

As far as suggestions for June go I'd be happy if it would be something I can play on the DC - my mvs is still shipping.

I'd be up for the option of one of the DC fighters next month though

I'd suggested to mugi that maybe a good idea would be to have 2 games each month...one 'cool' one, and the other being one that's usually overlooked/not played/unpopular in order to get an interesting mix. Thoughts?

been playn alot of cota and silver is pretty cool im not that good with him yet but learning alot. his jump is awful though dont seem to go that far at all and its slow.

as for games for next month hmmmm....faster huh.....ok for neo how about breakers revenge or rage of the dragons.....for atomiswave how about guilty gear x or king of fighters 11......for cps2 how bout street fighter zero 2 or vampire savior......and martial masters for the pgm of coarse......or an oddball fighter......wrestlefest!!!!!!!!

I saw it buddy, but theres aaaaaaaaaalot of options in there, narrow it down to a few and see if we can get some votes.

invest in one!!! At the very least, it is the easiest/cheapest way to play CPS3 stuff.

my thoughts for the next month are Rage of the Dragons, and Mortal Kombat 2 (this one has been ages for me). but I think we could pull off 3 games. I don't think we need to start a poll, but lets see if we can get some "agree votes" for any of the choices that are mentioned (by me or others of course).

not for cps2, I meant get a DC to play the cps3 games, like 3rd strike and Jojo's bizarre, they are wonderful!!!

I'm gonna vote against CvS2 for now, but with a good reason. I love that game, it's one of my all time favorites, but since Rage of the Dragons seems to be a popular pick this month, and it's a multi-character team game, I wanna stay away from playing another multi-character game like Marvel v Capcom or KOF etc. I would like to come back to it at some point though. I'd just rather only do one of those types of games per month.

I -FINALLY- Beat Rasputin last night. I had no idea I was that close to the end, it explains why he was so goddamn hard. Couldn't beat the boss within 4 credits, though. I prolly could if I kept at him with my mem card, but who knows how many credits he'd eat. Besides, I'd rather beat him without relying on it. If I can, I BARELY beat Rasputin as is! This was an awesome challenge, though. Gained a whole new appreciation for this character.

Also, I've been looking for the perfect excuse to dig more into ROTD! I definitely vote it as one of the options!

So far for next month, RotD has gotten about 4 votes so that'll be the headliner, martial masters is in second place so we can do that one too, berry asked for something on DC so he wouldnt have to emulate, it's a fair request but I'd like to see if it could get more votes. voteswise, strip fighter is in 3rd place and could round us out for the month

we always gunna do a neo game every month correct? and as far as sf3 goes......i dont like it .....sorry.

i played alot with omega red lately got to magneto after 1 continue used on juggernaut and then about 25 to 30 used on magneto all as losses....had to walk away i was getting mad and it was very frustrating. tried again last night and maybe a couple continues used here and there to get to magneto deff not as good as my first run but got to the big bad mags and he once again let me know why he is the boss. about 10 continues this time and walked away to beat ss2 with sieger.....who i never played b4. used about 8 continues on boss and maybe 2 on rest of road to the final fight.......also played ss2 the other day with hanzo and right b4 final fight i got to fight the ref for the first time ever.....he destroyed me!!!! but how did i earn this fight anyone know??

Well Rasputin is a totally different approach I'll say that. I was only able to beat about 4 people on one credit, and a few of those matches were time over wins. WH is slow to begin with but raspy is so floaty, it's all about using his reach effectively.
