well, i just got RB2 for my AES last week and all i can say is --
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!
this game is incredible.
hands down the best cast of characters to ever apprear in a fatal fury game (rick fuckin' rules!!!) and maybe the best cast of characters to EVER appear in a one-on-one fighter.
i LOVE the original, and SPECIAL is a blast to play as well- but my vote goes to RB2, all the way.
this may even be my fav. neo game.
bold statement i know- we'll see.

I say Real Bout Special rules!!!
In RB2 the combos look like not completed (characters are not downed, even combos of RBS are missing). You have much more Combos in RBS and you can include more Supers in it.
(In RBS for example: a,b,f+c,b+c,special or superspecial/ most characters can do this combo) / every character got a personal combo, which downs the opponent for sure)
Some Characters are more spectacular in RB2 than they where in RBS, but also vice versa (what the fuck happened to Kim´s Hououkyaku in RB2)
Some Characters are too much toned down (Jin Chon Rei, Kim Kap Hwan, etc ), while others got a big tone up (Jin Chon Shu)
That shitty flashing while doing a P.POWER Move in RB2 (I hate that flashies, because then your opponent knows "Oh, now comes a Super! Blocking!) In RB Special the Super happens and that is it.
That is why I say RBS rules!!!
