What's Xeno Crisis for MVS and AES worth?

Also, what is Razoola's MVS Crossed Swords 2 worth?

I'm still looking for some advice on prices/value.

I'm considering selling the following:

1) Kraut Busters MVS, Standard, full kit like new.
2) Crossed Swords 2 MVS (made by Raz from here on these forums), full kit, like new.
3) Xeno Crisis AES, Standard Ed, full kit like new.

I've seen an AES Kraut Busters sell on these forms for £1,100 (~$1,340 USD).
What would be a fair price for the MVS version? Typically, MVS sells for less. Does $1,100 USD sound reasonable?
Pricecharting shows an average of $1,500 USD and ebay is out to lunch with very high asking and no sold listings.

Crossed Sword 2 is only officially on the Neo Geo CD, so Raz's conversion is a boot. I do feel Raz's work should be worth more than some bootleg found on ebay, but I still don't know how to value it. Any ideas?

Xeno Crisis is no longer available from Bitmap Bureau and retailed for £300. Pricecharting show a value of $400 USD from 6 sales from 2022-2024. During most of this time the game could be bought direct from Bitmap Bureau. It's only more recently that it's out of print. Supply is now low.
Ebay listing are asking about $600-$800 USD but there are no complete sold listings (just one loose cart).
Does $600 USD sound reasonable?

Hey man - I don't think you're seeing much traction on your ask simply due to there being so little data on sales for the games in question. What you've found already in your searches is probably the most up to date.

As for Crossed Swords 2...it's a bootleg...But if you think it has inherent value over and above other bootlegs because Razoola made it, poke Shawn at the Neo Store and see if he can help - he could also make you an offer.

If you're looking to sell in the short term, list these for what you consider fair prices based on the research you've done and the assumptions you've made. If they don't sell after a while, then lower the price - just have a "bottom out" price in mind already. I don't think you'll find much more insight than what you've already gained. ;)

Hi yagamikun,

Thanks for the reply. It's good advice and I appreciate it.

I would ask a high price on Kraut Buster.

CS2 I think just sell for around what it cost. Double check it works OK because I had one and it was defective.

I got a good deal on Xeno Crisis MVS on here but for AES it seems reasonable. If they are selling on eBay for $600, I'd ask $500 here.

I've never had really high-end Neo Geo games. Do you feel it should sell for more than $1,100 USD? I know it hard to come by.

My crossed Swords 2 does work. I've put a good amount of time on it, and I've already tested it.

KB MVS sold on here or AP in the past year for around $1250 if I recall. I'd say something close to that is a fair price. $1100 might be on the cheap side

What would an AES BTG go for these days?

The latest price on Neo Mania was 21k in 2023, and the badly sunfaded copy on neostore (initially priced around 30k, then “discounted” to 19k) is no longer on the store.

Suruga-ya.com has a copy right now for a little over 25K so I'm sure you could figure anywhere from 20- 35K depending on condition. A bigtymer cart like this could fluctuate all over the place even higher than that. Mike aka: yagamikun could chime in with some better info than me.

Thanks.

Their listing is pretty scant on details. Just one photo, no conditions listed...

I reckon the right seller would be able to extract a significantly higher sum from the right buyer, on reputation alone.

I've bought several pricey carts from Suruga but nothing of BTG caliber. I'm sure they would give plenty of hi res pics of a game this expensive. They have had a couple copies of Slug 1 AES in last few years sold pretty fast. All the carts I've got from them have been in excellent- n/mint condition i was happy with them all condition wise. Are you looking selling your copy that you are trying to find a manual for? I would love to have BTG but unless I win the lottery that's not going to happen lol. Hard to believe how much some of these, games have skyrocketed over last ten years it's fucking insane.

Seconded - just work with a good Proxy rather than Suru direct. You get MUCH cheaper prices on the Japanese Suru site (the US site has inflated prices to match the US market), and you can also order from Suru's sister stores all across Japan in their network rather than from their main warehouse - thus finding even better prices.

A good proxy like From Japan, will often barter on your behalf. I've purchased many $$$$ Home Carts and even $$$ on many other consoles this way and never have been disappointed. When I purchased my copy of Metal Slug X about three years ago from Suru, Suru actually sent my proxy a picture of an almost negligible blemish on the case and they negotiated a $200 discount for me (for something you can BARELY see).

Charlie (EvilWasabi) also got his $$$$$ copy of Metal Slug 1 from Suru a couple years back if memory serves. I think at the time that was about $14K, and I remember Charlie having some trouble with Suru as they didn't want to sell a game overseas of that value for various reasons. After a while, though, he broke through and convinced them to sell it to him. I can't remember if he worked with a Proxy or with Suru direct for that purchase, though. Was a beautiful copy of the game.

I am looking for a manual for the CD version (if you are referring to my post in the marketplace), but here I am inquiring about AES.

On a different note, why do a lot of users have XX years badges and I‘ve been a user since 2002 and have zip?

The badges aren't automatic, and you rarely post.

Last time I bought something from them was a copy of Pulseman years ago and they emailed me like 5 photos of what was like, a dirt spot on the manual and took a discount off because of that, and it was barely noticeable. That's for something not even in the realm of the same value as some of these Neo games too, so I imagine you'd be able to get more photos than you'd even know what to do with for something like BTG or Slugs.
