Always loved Tetris since the GB all the way to the Grand Master Challenge 2+. I was hoping Ace was great but I hear bad things about it. Loved Magical and the Plus series, also Attack and party edition, oh and DS was great too.

There's a few Tetris I'd like to know about, Revolutions and Ace if anyone knows anything and is kind enough to share I'll be grateful.

Oh, incidentally there's a dude with a video playing Grand Master Challenge (1,2 or plus?) same guy that made the dual player ikaruga on an Astro cab. Amazing player, I really wanna know what Tetris that is and if it's a feasible PCB to obtain.

Go Tetris!

Only classic NES or DS for me, all this new stuff (especially the shit EA puts out) just lacks the charm of the old games. The last one I've played was the one for Wiiware which was kinda...bland.

Having the classic music is always a plus.

My favorites are Tetris/Dr. Mario for SNES and GB Tetris. Man, single-player endless mode is super addicting. The highest level I can reach is the low 20s for each of those games.

All that Grand Master Challenge stuff makes me cry... Far too hard for a terrible Tetris player.

I didn't care much for worlds, it was ok but it's kinda boring, splash is alright and the iPhone app is decent enough. My favorite Tetris has to be Grand Master Challenge 2 +, it's arcade only and there's a 2 co-op mode that's sick and I try playing with both sides on my own but it gets brutal after level 13.

Regular PC Tetris is pretty good too, last I played it I got me 178 lines. Has anyone played elements? I think it was PC Only, that look rather nice but I never got around to play it.

I just got a tetris grand master board in the mail this weekend, its hands down one of the greatest 2 player puzzle games I've ever played!

I'm really digging it so far, I wonder where kickin wing is, I know he's been playing tons of tetris in the last year or so.

Tetris is awesome. The original Gameboy version still plays great as does DX for the GBC. The NES version was pretty goof too, the Famicom one on the other hand sucked.

The Tetris Plus games are probably my favorites, both very challenging. Magical Tetris was neat, I liked how they had crazy large pieces which really made it a different game. Can't say I've played any of the Grandmaster games yet but I'd sure like to. Anyone know if any of them got home ports, and if they were any good?

Any love for Hatris? The Famicom version is pretty good bud I'd have to say I like the PC Engine one best.

I don't think they have been ported, I wish I'm wrong though 'cause they are great games.

The Plus series has the best music bar none, specially 2, I just love everything about that game, but maybe is just the fact that was my first Tetris PCB and I bought from 68k, I miss him, he was a good member and very knowledgeable about arcade stuff.

Chief, try to MAME the GMC series, you're gonna love them!

As Kid Aphex and I once discovered (pointed out by BBH) Tetris is serious business.

There's at least one ported to the 360. Not a US release, but it may be region free.

My favourite versions are the GB and NES ones. Always been a big Dr Mario fan, too.

If you like solid puzzlers, I also recommend Planet Puzzle League for the DS. It's probably my favourite of the last few years, even ahead of Meteos and Lumines.

This guy from Canada has a bunch of TGM3 videos on his channel. If I'm not mistaken I think he said he was the first person officially recognized as a Grandmaster in North America. I really wish TGM would come out in the US. All I have been able to find is the first game and on my version of MAME once you get the warning noise, it doesn't go away. I'd love to play more of it but I hate just only having the first version of it when the newer ones look so much better.

Did the 4th TGM ever come out? I had heard it was supposed to come out on the Taito X2 and never heard anything else about it.

I saw GMC3 in action yesterday, with a shmupper absolutely killing it, as well as doing some skills tricks like having the empty square move in ladder style chain across and up the screen. Pretty crazy stuff. I'd never seen any Grandmaster games previously in person and was floored by how intense this genre has become. He was dropping pieces and manipulating them faster than I could tell what the piece was.

I definitely have to stick to the original NES and GB versions since it's the only kind of Tetris I can deal with in my advancing age.

On a side note, there was also a reverse Tetris-style game called Aqua Rush. I completely missed the boat on it, but it was a blast with some trippy trance music.

Marathoning Tetris DS was a past-time of mine for a while. That game just feels so good, which is why I was disappointed in the Tetris game put out on the DS last year (Tetris World Party, I think?).

The Grand Master 3 looks like a lot of fun in VS. Mode.

I played the shit out of Tetris for the GB, then didn't revisit the series until Tetris DS. The GB Tetris will always be one of my favorite games. Dr. Mario on GB was another favorite.

Still play a couple of them on my PS1: The Next Tetris and Tetris w/ Cardcaptor Sakura: Eternal Heart. Both have solid game game to them and as a double, CCS Eternal Heart can get downright vicious with lightning attacks, disappearing bricks and flipping the opponent's puzzle upside down at the worst possible moment.

I've thought about getting the Cardcaptor Sakura Tetris, I've heard it's really good and the game mode is also still in TGM where they call it Sakura mode. How much is too much to pay for it? There's two of them on eBay now both from Japan and they say 35 shipped.
