They did, but I think they stopped selling under that name, or at least retro games about 2 months ago - the telegames name on ebay just tends to sell xbox if anything at all

Thanks for the ID; not much Neo stuff there for sale, is there?

I guess we'll have to wait for the store to come online and see what they have and what prices they set.

Hopefully, they are reasonable and affordable, which is good for us and good for them.

You will definitely shift that stock at those prices :loco: . You should also add what quantities you have aswell.

I won’t hold my breath that you will offer half those games at those prices, but my guess is that you barely sell any of those titles at your 1990’s prices any road.

But if you change your mind I have the £££££££ burning a hole in my pocket for at least 15 of those titles.

Or you can sit on teh stock forever………………I hope that helps you in re-pricing

I think there needs to be a happy medium reached.

We all know, and even Telegames are now conceeding that their prices are too high, but VIRTUALLY ALL the figures quoted above are also seriously off the mark, I mean £10 for a brand new US savage reign? Thats a dream that will never happen unfortuantely

That US Samurai 1 they have on ebay would be a great buy for some one after a gamers condition cart. Plus if they bought my Samurai Shodown to Spirits kit.. :kekeke:

£10.00 Savage Reign price based on the fact it is crap.

£105.00 value on the Price list here high end price, but if 50 carts suddenly become available it's not as rare and not as valuable. Supply and demand or something.

I could understand paying £105.00 for a descent game but seriously, it would just sit on a shelf looking nice. You might force yourself to play it but why ?

Far better/ superior fighters out there already for teh NEO.

Remember though that my opinion is formed on something which might appear rare now but there are 50 such items ( hypothetical number) sat in a warehouse.

I have based prices on there being 50 to a 100 of the above titles just sat there doing sweet Fuck ALL as they have been for a while.

Only my opinion though

Prices are not just based on how good a game is.

SS2 for £1.50 in Japan should tell you that.

couldnt agree more, and I dont think the quantity plays a major factor either - I mean the neostore can have 100 titles of a new release and the price rarely changes.

All Neo games are rare, and brand new ones are even rarer so the prices reflect this.

I agree supply and demand is a major issue, but to be realsitic, theres no way a brand new US savage reign for the AES is worth £10, come on :annoyed:

£1.50 in Japan for SS2 is cheap but I guess the market forces make it that price due to over supply/ its common as fuck.
Probabley due to the fact if they tried to sell it for £15 to £ 25.00 no - one would BUY IT. Hence its more or less given away.

So your point is.........................

My Point being Telegames new price list should be looking at fair pricing/ lower end to sell off teh stock. If not and just stick to current price list they won't sell shit.

Over the past 3 years I have bought about 30 homecarts. Not one single one was from them as prices are not market rate or remotely near on most of the stock they carry.

Yes they have run alot of NOS auctions on Ebay and that is the price area I think alot of that stock is at. Fair enough rarer carts will be higher but I guess I couldn't argue that untill a stock number of all the titles on that list was made available. Is something considered rare now still that rare if 50 units become available at a proper selling price? maybe/maybe not
All things to be considered when re pricing. I'm not going to say the prices I put are 100% correct it's just a debateable starting point.

I agree on that point but none of the games on the list are new releases. But funnily enuff over time the prices do come down look at Matrimelee, Kof 02 etc.

There are a few other games on that list on teh lower end and alot better games then Savage reign at that aswell find em all........

Savage Reign is a shit game, my opinion I own it on mvs and paid £10.00 and at that I paid to much.
But if other people are willing to pay alot more for it that there descision and there money.

I agree supply and demand is a major issue, but to be realsitic, theres no way a brand new US savage reign for the AES is worth £10, come on

Thats your opinion fair enuff, I have seen the Jap version go for £25.00 on Ebay last year. A steal ? no

Hi everyone, sorry for the late reply to your posts, but as i am sure you can appreciate we have been extremely busy over the festive period.

We would like to say that the website is almost complete and is in testing at the moment, our developers have also been very busy and are doing their best to get things up and running asap.

Here is a link to the screenshot of the site in it's development stage, and as you can see we have the retro sections as well as the modern gaming platforms:

http://www.direct4retro.co.uk (remember this is not 100% accurate as you will notice the tab displayed is atari when in fact the content is home page content!)

We are still going to be reducing prices on our stock and will be sending out mailshots to all registered customers with regular offers as well as massive offers on the site.

There are going to be several domain names you can access the site with, for you guys the easiest is www.direct4neogeo.com, which will go straight to the neo section. we will publish a list of domains in good time.

We are adjusting pricing for shipping and we think we now have a more accurate pricing structure for our products, so good news there.

We have said that we will do our best to reply to these forums but please please be patient.

Best Regards to all,

Direct 4 Entertainment / Telegames

good to hear from you guys and we'll certainly look forward to seeing the end result and the prices of course :D

You'll certainly find that most "realistic" buyers will appreciate that these games are brand new and the rare us/euro format, so collectors will be interested.

Thats my point mate, the US version is rarer and more collectable than the jap version, ergo, costs more, then add the fact thats its brand new etc etc etc.... makes it worth more than £10 :emb:

Its not all about how good a game is - if that were the case, virtually all the Neo pricing would go to pot - sam sho 2 would cost hundreds etc - its the collectability of the game that does influence how much to pay to an extent - just my thoughts

How do we become "registered customers" to receive email offers/notifications?

To become a registered customer all you would need to do is sign up to our newsletter on the site...or buy something when it launches. ;)

Those prices really make me laugh. I guess they are Telegames after all.
