Nope. The cab, as well as a big screen TV, aquarium and other various things were roadside with a sign that said "FREE".

Holy crap, it's actually done now. Thought I would post some pics of the finished cab.

- Stripped and painted entire cab
- Installed new t-molding
- Repaired the coin slots. Added new locks.
- Filled in holes from old security bolt
- Built a new control panel (CPO from Arcade Shock)
- All new Happ Competition sticks and convex buttons, wired with CPS2/3 kick harness
- New PSU installed
- Completely rebuilt chassis from Chad at Arcade Cup
- Vinyl (diecut) sideart

Lots of time and monitor drama to get it working but here it is:

Thanks for the comments guys.

It was a good experience but my love is still with candies. I am putting the cab up for sale this week to make room for a second Neo 29. The roker is going to kill me.

That's fucking sexy dude, congrats.
I rank it just behind that bitchin blue MVS cab somebody put up here...but the margin is so small...sheeit. Love the black and white motif...where did you get the graphics for the sides and back done?

I made them myself on a vinyl plotter/cutter. Vector logos of most anything are available at brandsoftheworld.com

I've worked part time (used to work full time) at a commercial printer/sign shop for the past 6 years or so. Hence being able to do stickers and prints for everyone on the cheap.

Absolutely excellent work Eric. I love the big-ass Capcom labels on the sides, they look great!

That is awesome beyond belief. I still can't imagine why someone would just leave that lying around, though.

That cab would look amazing as a dedicated Street Fighter Zero 2 cab. Although I think it would look even more amazing if the Capcom logo was coloured in the same was as it is on the intro for 3S/EX3 on PS2.

I see no screws holding down the plexiglass on that control panel... is that allowed?? I thought there was some unwritten rule that said you needed to have screws holding your plexiglass in place, do you dare anger the arcade gods? :P I have a cabinet just like that and there's... what, 10 screws holding the plexiglass in place? I suppose they're there in the event you stick the cab in a pizza place or something so crumbs or dirt doesn't get on the cp artwork. I like your idea to replace the wood underneath but damn if those screws don't make my cabinet look ugly. Maybe when I replace it I'll move the plexiglass screws around. What a kick ass job, you should be proud! And if theres one thing outside of monitors I can't do, it's put artwork on a cabinet, let alone custom made vinyl! I'm gonna get started on some modding of my cabinet, I've got a lot of catching up to do! :)
