It finally came out yesterday, and it's freaking awesome.

It retains a lot of the old school play style with maze-like levels and not much hand-holding, which is refreshing in this day and age of FPS games coddling you through it.

Anyone else playing it?

I haven't played any of the System Shock games. How close are they in terms of gameplay to Bioshock?

Bioshock is a lot closer to two than one, but it's heavily inspired by both.

The original System Shock 1 for MS-DOS is really cool, dunno if I'll check out the remake. I like the pixels.

Believe it or not, there are pixels in the remake. When you get up close to things, they all have an intentional pixelated effect.

Also, if you use one of the boosters, you'll get the side effect of hallucinating sprites from the original game.
