Ya. I mentioned I had KoF XI (not for sale, just mentioned it) and it was sold within a day. Somewhat by accident. I'm a sucker for people who really want to play the game to play the game, y'know? I have my little collection to experience - not to build a wall o' boxes in my closet that isn't used.

I play my Guilty Gear daily.

It's like a ritual - boot the AW, play GGX 1.5. Boot the 246, play some Basara X. Boot the 360, play some BlazBlue:CS.

So you don't think it's a bad game? I heard you have to press a button to change the direction you face - doesn't that get terribly cumbersome?

I know you and I have had similar discussions before, but what makes FF3 a more "Advanced" fighter in your mind than FFS? I really find FF3 to be more playable (though that's likely just the more forgiving AI..... and I still dont' like FFS because I have no real local competition and the AI is too punishing.)

I feel ya, man - I had my collecting phase as everyone did; I amassed a nearly-complete Neo Geo MVS collection, and am now letting go of like 80 games because it just so happens there are only about 50 or 60 that I really play on a regular basis (or feel nostalgic enough about to keep anyhow.)

mmsada, you can play FF3 all day and still not manage to use all of its full potential with plane switching and combo flipping. FF3 has a ton of simultaneous press commands to travel and attack through the 3 planes.

The whole idea of the turn around button started on GG when truning around is like any other fightinggame but if you wanted done faster you could simply press the respect button to do so and apply a devastating crossup game.

GGI has that same premise, also the 5 button setup is very intuitive where you use the 5th button for the turn around and the simultaneous press command to do several different things through the different planes. GGI has way more depth than several games out there, people just get funky 'cause they can't turn around in time to keep up with the pace of the game, but one you play it enough it becomes second nature.

GGI is totally uderrated.

I might have a System 246 coming up for sale shortly. Those don't seem to go, and I don't think I'm willing part with a game....

It would be Soul Calibur 2 or Gundam S.E.E.D. vs Z.A.F.T. if it happens. Otherwise, just an empty 246 with Namco JVS.

I dunno, man - Sam's awesome, and we've shot tons of messages back and forth about the Aero Tables, but Supa is just plain hilarious. They're both strong candidates, in my mind.

Care to explain the FFS/FF3 thing, as well your thoughts on Isuka?

I tried Jojo's back in the day on Dreamcast - didn't much care for it at the time, but didn't invest a whole lot of time. It's something I'd want to play again for usre.

I don't think I even realized there were multi-button plane swap commands in FF3 - that adds a whole new layer to it... man...
And no disrespect to FFS - it's solid, I just wish people still actually played it just enough so that I could get better.

Thanks for your thoughts on GGI - it's prolly not something I'd buy just 'cuz I likely wouldn't have anyone to play it with, but I may give it a try if an opportunity comes up.

Let's get some XBL games going mmsadda, I'll teach you all the trciks and you'll be decent in no time. FFS is like ST, very easy to get into with extremely intuitive controls. FFS is a bit more strict when it comes to inputs, which is good 'cause only then you'll know you're one with the stick!

Heh. I'd TOTALLY be up for it, but I don't have Live right now, or any reasonable way to connect my Xbox to the internet. You know when I do, I'll hit you up, and we can have some Garou matches, and you can teach me the ropes on FFS. I'm sure you'll beat me like a redheaded stepchild, but at least I'll learn some.
