suggestion: enforce current marketplace rules and one to add.

Do we want a required sales price and ban the use of 'for offer' in the marketplace?

Wow, and I thought that was a $350ish game, too. Do you collect AW stuff? Ever played or owned a Dirty Pigskin?

About valuations, a lot of other site's have a 'whats it worth' thread for these, maybe a sticky could be put up in the various for sale sections?

Hi lads...

As I said before... it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to micro manage this site...

I confess... the dedicated market mod is MIA.... and that some of the rules seem to be getting flouted.... BUT unless you want someone to dedicate their lives to the market forum... then stuff like this may slip through the cracks...

The best solution I came up with is to put the market rules on the banner (...NG X getting old now...)... and appointing some deputies to report dumbass sellers into this thread http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?239851-Report-Spambot-and-Scammers-please...

Whatcha think lads?

I wrote to Nerdy and he understands the situation. I don't read a lot of threads here, but when a complaint arises, I do check it out. So if you see something you don't like, post about it, and something will happen.

As long as their is a clause we can offer $5 shipped in thread for no prices listed I am ok with that.

changed it just a little _there_

6.7. There is to be no “poisoning” of other users sales threads, e.g.: if a seller is selling something_bitching and moaning should_be considered “poisoning” the thread. These forums operate under the view that it is each buyer’s responsibility to research the fair market price for an item.

isn't all this nonsense about wanting a price just poisoning? if you were actually interested make your offer. didn't get the item and you made all the effort of pming someone? BooHoo! the rules do however officially state that if its an auction the title should say so

I remember someone having a selling thread that they updated the 'bids' in the last time this was a big deal...you know there would be space in those obo threads for the sellers to do it like that ('right') if complaining about how you want prices wasn't the cool thing thing to do right now.

did leaving what it sold for ever become required? that seems like it would be more constructive than requiring a price to sell because the price guide can't really be regulated by such an unscrupulous lot ever.

:scratch:Just me probably though

It's hard to enforce this shit either way. The site needs more than a simple forum upgrade.

Yea I don't understand why SOLD is not put beside the price, I did it all the time.

yeah, that's a clown move.

I think that was more of the norm a few years back, when I was a more active seller. I'm not sure who came up with with it; I just went along with what a lot of other members were doing.

I have always replaced the price with SOLD.

I was talking about sold for. Not just updating when something sells, which is common sense unless you just like to tease those who are 'too late'. I was saying it would do the 'community' more good overall to require that finalized sales listed the price than it would to require an upfront price less ?s about whats it worth now and such.

It's best to leave the price and simply put SOLD beside it.

Seriously folks, don't delete prices. Leave them there and mark your shit as sold. It's not that hard.
