Well it is similiar to the PSX version, however the graphics looked a little better to me on the Neo Geo (but that is monitor vs TV at that point). It is really easy to compare the game to the Aerofighters series. Actually I would say it is Aerofighters 2 with better graphics and without the humour. Just like the PSX version you can choose from a number of planes... each has different shooting patterns, speed, and specials. The graphics are all rendered and look pretty good. The explosions look great. I did not like the music at first, but that too grew on me. All and all it is a really good shooter, but it is nothing really new, and yes it is very similar to the PSX version. I picked up a copy for $80 or so last December, I was very happy with it... but I payed a lot less then arcade wants... I am not sure if it is worth the $300 price of admission.

I had an old copy of Strikers 1945 II that was a bootleg a friend got me on a trip to Japan. That was about three years ago and the game is very similar to that, but some of the bosses have changed as well as the in between stage boards (of course, no loading time). I have not played the newest PS One release, but someone was telling me that it was just a port of this old Japanese release I had. So, if it is, the game is similiar, but there are some new things thrown in for good measure (like bosses, few new enemies, etc).
