Kenny has been billed as the quintessential goofy gamer/anime nerd in wrestling for a while and it's not a bit either as he is both those things in real life.

Kenny Omega is an odd choice for a SF character trailer.

He's actually not. He's pretty well known in the FGC and is a fighting game enthusiast. Probably one of the most well known 'celebrity types' (if you can call him that) that has unabashed love for fighting games. Video games in general, actually.

Just reinstalled it and it is still incredibly fun. Not sure I'm sold on spending lots of $ for new characters but damn if the game doesn't have some staying power.

I hope they fully lean into the ridiculousness of the franchise. Don't hold back, just over the top from start to finish.
This is what previous videogame movies (and especially Street Fighter movies) never got, they tried to add depth to something that doesn't really have any to begin with.
Just make comic book characters beat each other up, no need for Van Damme on a speedboat.

My biggest concern now is hoping characters start throwing their chi/energy around.

If we get another live action Street Fighter movie and nobody throws a Hadouken I am going to be pissed.

(Did they throw energy around in that shit Chun-li movie? Never saw that one...)

I watched that once and it was awful as expected. I *think* she did something like her super move, I cant remember what its called. Kiko Shou or something like that. But if I recall, she was just charging it but thats it. It was so forgettable.

Alex looks fun, but after busting out a lot of SFIV sessions lately, I think I'm done with VI and will be impatiently waiting for Capcom to re-release IV with Rollback because IV is fucking awesome.
