Stolen MVS-U4 in MS

A friend of mine just went through a bunch of BS and long story short, either his roommates or ex-GF stole his MVS-U4 while he was out of the house.

As it was configured when it left, it had a 4-slot, MV-IC (no headphone wires, though), Samurai Shodown 2, Magical Drop 2, Magician Lord, and Sengoku. The control panel was white, not chrome. The monitor has a quirk where sometimes it requires a firm smack to the chassis to get it to power on. The coin mech was all metal and didn't work with anything (it was for JPY but we jacked it all up trying to adjust for quarters), not to mention that there's no lock on the coin box anyway. All of the mini marquees were repros (high quality inkjet). The MB has been modded to replace the rechargeable battery with a coin cell.

It was last seen in Hattiesburg. These things don't exactly grow on trees around there so I'm hoping someone might notice it sitting around somewhere. The board, card reader, and two games were actually gifts from me to the guy when he got the cab so I'm more than a little pissed that this is missing.

Well they'll have no luck getting their meth dealers to trade some ice for it.

I'm sure it will turn up.

I'd keep an eye on the local Craigslist and eBay. Check out the CLs that are in towns next to you also.

Any local arcade auctions? I would find out and notify the owners and then still show up the day of and look around.

I'll be on the lookout online. If I find something online I'll get my big scary ass cousin in Hattiesburg to pay them a visit.

I don't know of any. If there were, I'm pretty sure my friend would've gone for a local big red or something over shipping the candy from CA.

Fuck yeah.

I'm keeping an eye on Craigslist and sent some other emails out. The thing is pretty unique. It's bound to show up eventually. Just in what condition is the big question.

Fucking cunts.

My ex gf not too long ago came round to my house with 2 junkies and totally destroyed my beautiful Celica as well as hitting my 58 year old dad over the head with a cricket bat.

Hope you find the cab and punish whoever was responsible appropriately.

with stuff like this, do yourselves a favor. Take a picture of your cab's serial number for future reference. I might be buying another U4 cabinet this week myself. I'll be doing this if I decide to.

Damn first day back here in years and I hear about a local MVS being stolen.

If there is any chance it made it's way to the coast, I can hit up some pawn shops over the next couple of days and will check out Craigslist but I doubt the thieves would be that stupid...then again this IS Mississippi

Thieves usually are that stupid.

Hope your friend recovers that cab Murray. That sucks.

Did your friend bother to record the serial # of the catalog to further ducument ownership?

Holy fuck dude. Tell me you took action (legally) against those dirt bags.

Not a Celica! I want that goddamn car and people smashing them up doesn't help my chances.

Sorry to hear some fucked up people stole your Neo cab. I'd take a rusty knife and hunt them down Takeshi Kitano 'Violent Cop' style. Vicious.

They stole the brand new fridge, too. Also all his electronics. Basically cleaned the house out.

I doubt the suspected people even have the means to move it around much.

I don't know, but I know the serial of the motherboard and Universe Bios.

Which Celica? You're in Australia, tell me it wasn't an imported GTFOUR :(

Best of luck in finding that cab.

Did he check between the seats and console in his car? Usually when I lose stuff, that's the first place I look.
