Time for round 2 in VA Beach. I'm thinking about sometime in June. Who's interested? I've been busy as hell lately, so I could use a break and some more competition. Depending on the level of interest, we need to get some various competitions going.

July: 14,15 <-- July is kinda limited as I'm gonna be down in Florida for father in laws retirement from Air Force (PJ)

Here are some open days in August as well then: 11, 12, 18, & 19. It really dosen't matter to me when we do this as long as we get a decent turnout.

Again, there wil be air hockey on a 8' table, 2 neo cabs, some console gaming, and beer / food.

I'm up for more people to show up. I'm in it for the games, not the collections. The new monitor for my gold cab should be here this week and it will be installed as soon as it comes in. I'm trying to get a few more games also (including Garou).

Looks like August is best foe everyone. If you are interested and don't want to post here, just drop me a PM. Let me know which day in August is best for you guys, I would prefer a saturday gathering myself.

is it just me or do gamestop employees seem to be somewhat interested in fighting games?

the gamestop by lynhaven is having a third strike tourney later this month, i have no details yet. but once i find out the dates, im going.

there was another dude that plays GG in a shop close to naval base chesapeake. He seemed very into it, but even then, i was impressed he was into fighting games.

then yesterday when i was in newport news some dudes were talking about Daigo's parry. So, the interest is there, if we are to make a torunament in the future (big or small, but well advertised) I think we have potential here.

I was actually thinking about this myself...It seems as if interest here on NG.com is minimal, so it might be a good idea to organize a tournament and talk to some of the guys in the various gamestores around here. The only problem is I don't have a ton of space, so I am going to figure out the most # of people I will be comfortable having in my house.

Ok, I have 2 MVS cabs that are currently up and running if we get together this weekend (8/11), 3 MVS cabs if we get together next weekend (8/18).
Also, I have a Xenophobe cab and an 8' air hockey table. Once again, there will be beer and munchies. PM me if interested or post here and I'll PM you address/ directions / phone #.
Personally, the 18th is the better date of the two posted for me as I'd like to make it to Bush Gardens / Water Country this coming weekend. But either date is acceptable.

Im gonna see if i can hook you up with a KoF 2002 MVS, i should have an extra one around, ill make some phone calls. (it's more than likely a bootleg, no alterations to the gameplay).

also my uncle had a shitload of MVS, ill explain to you what's up with that, and what not.

but yeah, ill do my best for the 18th, as long as i can get a ride, my car works but my inspection sticker expired, if i renew by tomorrow i shoujld be good to go.

Haven't had any more feedback, so if I don't get any confirmations I am going to make other plans for this weekend.

Also, I am now down to 2 MVS cabs. Need to do some repair work to a monitor on one cab now.

topher, how much did you get that new gold cab for dude?
im not jealous, a few months ago i BIN'ed probably the only neo candy cab (i guess maybe a few more exist) in the state of VA from mechanicsville of all places for $400 with 9 games

if you get many more cabs your gonna have to throw out your fridge just to find a spot for it! lol

As far as the # of cabs go, it's definitely getting up there.

Good find on the candy! That's a better deal then I got on my first gold cab -- 350$ off ebay! Included only 2 games, Shock Troopers + mm and Double Dragon + mm. He was a little pissed because it was the second time he had to list the cab and it went for 275$ less the second time. High bidder backed out the first time.
