I'm all for securing our borders, increasing LEGAL immagration and maintaining a humanitarian presense.

I still see Illegals as being victims more than criminals.

And by most accounts, the minutemen project created more problems than it solved.

The hypocrisy is still alive and well today, only it's under the banner or "Anyone who opposes Osama bin Laden is our friend!" and includes the likes of Saudi Arabia, which is an egregious human rights violator that still conducts public executions, oppression of women, and enforces hardcore Islamic law.

If you're going to play that hand at least play it right.

We're friendly with the Saudi's because of Oil, not because of Osama.

And that's a pretty bi-partisan type thing considering neither party wants to see the economy tank, or watch the poor suffer even more under astronomical gas prices. Just remember who it affects more. Gas could go to $5 a gallon and the middle and upper classes could take the hit with minor problems. The poor are who would get hit worst by the increased transportation costs as well as the inflated price of goods due to transportation cost increases.

We're walking a fine line right now, well at least OPEC is. All we need is gasoline prices to go above $3.50 or so, then we'll move from gas to Bio Diesel which is renewable, feasible, and can be grown right here in the USA. Well, assuming the oil companies aren't astronomically stupid once they see their bets on exploratory drilling aren't going to pay out as much as they thought.

Of course then we'll really see terrorism spike when the only cash cow the middle east (Saudi Arabia in particular) has gets eaten up by algea in large artificial ponds in the midwest.

If you're for traditional families where children aren’t from turkey baster, test tube setups with random homo gonad mixtures... then you're a bigot. If you're for a person's advancement through out life based on their character and not their sexual orientation, religion or skin colour... then you're a bigot.

Well... we have something in common there. I say YES to legal immigration so as to filter out those who have other intentions other than work etc.
