Soundtrack of the Month.

Hey Guys,
Ran a brainstorm past the boss and he said it sounds like a good idea but I wanted some extra input on this as well. I was thinking of helping in settings up a section on the site where we can host one Soundtrack from an SNK once a month. A lot of NeoGeo fans I realize out there enjoy their music as much as the games themselves. If you guys think this is a good idea, Then by all means post your comments here....

Just curious, but would you elaborate a bit? What do you mean by "hosting one/month?"

To be honest I'm bugging you about it partly out of interest, and partly because, if anyone recalls my ramblings from last autumn, I still have that soundtrack site nearly finished, I just started adding all these extra (not really OST but Neo-related) sections that delayed things so much (along with hundreds of pics I went to look for), and, well, it's always nice to know from a webmaster's point of view how much steam such a site could lose before actually debuting. Just wish I could work on it from here...

Oh and, getting back on topic, I'm also asking because a)I would be happy to help, if need be and b)I'm interested to learn about what other people know of the subject, and would like to see some such idea succeed, but it sounded rather vague in your post.

What I generally want to do is keep a Database of SNk music and such here for the fans who desire it. Shawn told me he has mountains of space and think it would catch on. The once a Month thing was my personal choice becuase doing it once a week would not be enough time for me personally to complie the music into mp3 format and work on translating the tracks from Japanese to English. Either way I have a TON of SNK Music CDs of my own and allowing other users to get some of this music is something I had always wanted to do for awhile. I can always use a hand in getting things setup seeing as I'm also the guy responsible for the Debug Codes here as well. I'll try to see what I get started with. I was thinking of doing the Original Last Blade Arranged Soundtrack 1st becuase the music in my personal opnion just kicks so much ass. Ok enough ranting for now, If this idea works for you, Let me know...

I take it by that you mean an mp3 database then, instead of "well good luck finding them!"? ..That is, as opposed to an "OST Master List" or something of that nature.

Anyhow it sounds a nice idea, and I hadn't at first imagined that you meant putting the whole CD on-line, as I was intending to have only an mp3 from a select game up once per week, for my place that is.

Well, if you need help, I can try. It's just not so simple to do as much as I could & would back in Canada. But I'll be home in a few weeks.
