Sound through the headphone jack bad?

Is the sound through the headphone jack
worse than using a conversion job or
can I use a scart lead with the wires
to an amp ???
If so where can these be found?

You could, but they aren't readily available. 3.5" jacks are crap. Not built to last. I'd recommend the mod.

If you can't do it yourself, Jeff would if you're in the US, or I can and am in the UK.
