I'm in a similar sort of situation, debating whether to hook up the ST-V via supergun for the time being or play via Saturn....

Excellent game though, looking forward to putting some time in with this throughout the month.

STV cart finally arrives! I haven't played in awhile and I fucked up royally a few times. but my first credit in was 3745660.

hardly a godlike score but I had a strong first life and I was happy alot of the game is still in my memory! I was scared as when I powered it on the first time it was on some ridiculous difficulty level that had way faster bullets than I remembered. after putting everything on default I was right at home.

I've almost never played this game. Started to like it after a few runs, but nothing much over 2 million. Troubleshooting some stv mobo woes (Worst. Hardware. Ever.) but I hope to get a few more runs in.

I don't understand the ranking system or why this is the case, But the best way to go at this one is forget normal shot exists, ONLY lock on and try to lock on to 6 targets at a time before releasing. Normal shot is just for opening up the power up pod things, I dodge power up icons as if they were enemy bullets! but every bomb you can get is valuable as the score multiplier goes up for every bomb you have and don't use

you would think it would be hard. playing with only lock on shots, but it's actually quite easy and makes the game alot more manageable.

Something to try if you get bored: Crank up the difficulty to max via game settings, as it's kinda cool in this game. There are quite a few boss attack patterns you never see unless rank is high.

Oh nice. I bought this game 10 or so years ago and ended up never playing it because I ordered Battle Garegga at the same time. I'm late, but I'll definitely give it a go, even though I expect my scores to be pitiful.
