This game is impossible to get a picture of your score. At least for the Genesis version. I basically had to sacrifice my last guy to get a picture of my score. When I die, it goes to the continue screen and then right back to the main menu to start a new game. Is there a scoreboard on the Genesis and I am just not good enough yet to get on the list?

This game is just wow. Very stingy with power ups, anything good you have to hoard and the homing weapon is very few and far between. I ran Normal course just to get a feel and it literally hands out extends like candy bars. Advanced isn't so nice. I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish this one, as it took quite a few tries just to get where I did. I like the little homage to Galaga they throw in as well :keke:

Hey man, just wait until the game goes into attract-mode. The score listed in the demo is current high score. I agree though, why the hell does the game kick you out so quickly after you die?!

Edit; Gaston - 160240 - 3 - Retrox (nvidia shield tv)
Never heard of this til now - weird but very enjoying shooter. Didn't start normal mode, went straight to advanced. This score is my second try on advanced. Got as far as chapter 3 where the winged horsemen show up from behind. Did feel a bit cheap and couldn't figure out how to avoid those bastards. Give it a couple of tries and see how we do then.

Edit: the sideways parallax scrolling combined with enemy movement messes with my head too.

I have not seen the Galaga reference yet. Or, at least missed it. What level is it on?

I think the lack of weapon upgrades is what turned me away from this game as a kid. You only get a metered amount, so the trick for me is to conserve the weapon and use it as much as possible on the end Boss.

The game has some nice graphics and sound, especially for being an early game on Genesis/MD. I played the Arcade version of the game on MAME many years back and remember it to be technically superior in a few ways. Also TATE.

Is farming extends allowed? Antareas is the perfect spot to farm...
Really getting the hang of this game and glad I tried it out. i love the weirdness of it all and it's a pretty good, if somewhat easier shmup.

Edit: new score 509060 - chapter 6 - MD emu on retrox (shield tv)
Blasting through 1-4 now with couple of mess ups in 5. Farmed 3 extends though.

Getting hammered in stage 6, time and time again. I'm loving this game though. Arcade version is great too!

Nice score! I'm hoping to get a chance to play the arcade version this weekend. Hope to put up a new score too.
