I'm not playing it at all, that last score was it. I gotta practice the game more, and I'm in the middle of Dark Souls II. For me? That's a great score I'm happy with. Maybe one day I will break 1 billion, but until then.

I'm just starting to get the hang of how to score better in BL OG, seems that your helpers need to be positioned so that they overlap with enemies so they can shed gems in some way. Then there is the point blanking.

Caught some of Gus's livestream last night.
If anyone wants to see the best Futari player outside of Asia ripping up 1.01 Ultra (much harder than 1.5) with his stock 360 pad on a non-tated 20"(?) TV:
No misses st1-3, X4 deaths at the end of st4, then no missed st5 and gets to Larsa's first form, an unbelievable run despite a botched st4.

Nice work Jeneki. Maniac 1.5 is a difficult mode. Most cave games I can return to and after a little practice, nail a 1CC. Not this one. Granted, most of the deaths come from the brutal slowdown fluctuation.
I highly encourage you learn the big cancels on stage 2, particularly the boss (who has that final pattern worth 50 mil alone). If memory serves, I was getting about 160-170 mil after st2 bonuses.

That's what's up! I tried playing Another Ver in MAME to give you some competition but the cv1k driver still sucks, it felt like 80% speed always with no accurate slowdown. Too bad there's no DLC for it on the 360 release.

You're close to the clear! Try to ride out max stage multiplier (9999) as long as possible on stage 4/5 and you'll get the second extend.

OK, just did 183,529,647. So close to 1cc! Died on final boss with an inch of life left. I'm getting to grips with the tactics now - this game is great fun to play!
