It being pretty similar to Darius isn't a bad thing imo. I dig the post apocalyptic vibes of it mostly.

Started out as a Darius game but it deviated from it too much so they spun it off. It's supposed to be a sequel of sorts to Gun Frontier.
I think it's a good game, but it took me a while to like it. I wouldn't say it's top tier though.

Damn right it is, and I still can't get through that last barrage before the boss in 2 without bombing and dying at least once, it's crazy.

There's a really shitty part of stage 4 where you have to rush ahead of a rock moving upwards until it touches the top of the screen. I got caught behind it thinking it was going to lower back down. It doesn't. Game is cruel enough to just let you sit behind it alive for a couple seconds while you're forced to accept your approaching death lol

Dogg once accused me of using save states on Carrier Air Wing but I was playing the Switch version and hit the top 30 after a 1cc
