Took a swing at normal today. This feels much more fun in terms of difficulty. Will need another run or two to get the clear but this isn’t bad:

Too busy trying to better my scores on "Easy"... seems to be diminishing returns on the harder difficulty settings as there are less gems and less power-ups (the latter worth 5k a pop).

yeah, if you're ok with only using the lazer and homing power ups, the rest of them should be picked up for 5k a piece. Getting no miss rounds can be a bit more complicated too. Even little things like the weak enemies with bosses have to be destroyed and the suiciding idiots in stage 1 and the hearts from the wedding in stage 2, etc. So many times I've gotten a 99 or 98, by missing a small thing.

I think I'm sticking to normal unless @daskrabs posts a score attack score.

It's definitely annoying when you think you've cleared a stage only to find you've scored a 99% clear... Although, if you're going for score, it's not really worth going for the all clear on Stage 4 because of the amount of points you can milk out of the level by suiciding and restocking your bombs.
