With $2200 you can buy an MVS cart and a Daedalus converter. And you would have spent only about half the money. The game is nice IMO, I like it even if I suck at shoot'em ups.

It's OK as long as the game wasn't released in AES form. It would also apply to NITD, Zed Blade, Strikers and so on.
However, it's still frown upon.
